We stayed in the Golf & Mountain Cottages and we were so pleased with the space, cleanliness & way the units are arranged.

We took the downstairs bedroom with the king bed, en-suite and full laundry. Our girls shared the upstairs bedroom wit the queen bed.

We loved the freedom to cook and clean as we pleased.

The one recommendation I have is to bring some type of cleaning supplies IE-Lysol wipes & fish tabs. We stayed 4 nights and we had meals with chicken & beef with made using dish soap to clean the counters just a little lacking in sanitation for our liking!

We are at Alice’s Table one night for supper and while the food was delish, we paid over $150 CAD for that meal!

By stopping at the Walmart in Derby we purchased $100USD in groceries and had more than enough to get us through the trip.

Our girls didn’t miss out on anything! They skied, skated, swimmed, climbed, watch movies, shopped and played in the snow! We had a wonderful time and hope to do it again soon! Great family time in the cottage with the fireplace and board games before bed. The party at Clips & Reels was so fun, the fireworks for NYE were fantastic and my day at the Spa was lovely- full day access to the sauna!!

Put this place on your to do list!

*if you go for NYE book your event tickets in advance they can sell out!

My family and I stayed here over February break and loved it. Check was quick and easy. Our Timberline cottage was clean, well decorated and equipped, perfectly laid out for our family of 4, and only a few minute shuttle ride to the base areas and lifts. The shuttle was super convenient and we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a ride. There was a ton to do at the resort besides skiing and we took full advantage of that. The restaurants and Provisions general store were great and we never felt gouged despite the isolated location of the resort. Finally, the skiing was fantastic — great terrain, great snow (we lucked out with a powder dump while there) and short lift lines. All in all, we had a fantastic family ski vacation and recommend Jay Peak highly.

We stayed in a one bedroom golf cottage for six nights. The cottage (#4012) was OK, but not great. It was reasonably clean although the rug was pretty stained in some areas. The unit was the very definition of “bare bones” when it came to amenities. With no grills available, there was no real way to cook much of a meal since there was no roasting pan, cookie sheet or anything to use to cook in the oven. There was one frying pan. The hall entry closet had about 6 clothes hangers, but there were none in the bedroom. The number of dishes and glasses were adequate, but not much more. The coffee mugs were very large, but the coffee maker was minuscule. If you wanted two normal sized cups of coffee in the morning, you had to brew two pots. The lighting inside the cottage was terrible. The biggest inconvenience was the bathroom was upstairs, but the bedroom was on the lower level. You had to walk upstairs at night if you needed to use the bathroom. Due to COVID restrictions, we had no housekeeping services which was understandable. We had enough towels, but were only supplied with two small bars of soap and no facial tissues. While it wasn’t terrible, it could have been a lot better.

Thank you for the response but sorry your vacation was in need of a grill and there wasn't one available. Truthbetold most vacationers are fine with the various pots to boil water or, as you identified, frying pans to cook something quick. We don't get much of a call, over the typical 2 night vacation, for roasting pans and the like, but we'll certainly consider adding something like this in the future. I suppose. Also happy you found an adequate number of dishes and glasses yet 'not much more than adequate' as this hasn't yet been an area we've planned to surprise and delight folks within yet; the overdelivery of glassware I mean. Generally we find that two bars of soap for a two night stay but, as always, a quick call to our front desk, as suggested in the unit when one is in want of anything, and we'd of brought more soap reinforcements to bear. Appreciate the note and review.

This is the second time we went there and service was also not great at the first visit but if you are new skier or if you have kids then trails are great for beginners. So that was the whole reason we visited again but what a mistake. They use “covid” excuse for everything. First of all we stayed in 1 bedroom suite, everything in the room is so loud. The dishwasher is loud, the heater is so loud that it is hard to hear each other, even the timer tor fireplace is loud.
Secondly, there is no ski valet because of covid, there is no cart for luggage (which i did not quite comprehend) because of covid, they have bar, cafeteria open but no restaurant because of covid which again does not make sense.
Thirdly, if you book private lesson for your kid, think twice because they expect 4-5 year old kids to ride chair life ALONE, because of covid. And this info is available online but not mentioned if you book it via live agent
In the meantime, pump house is open(pool area) but not lazy river, however people pass by you to ride slides without mask but that is totally fine. 🤔
I have been multiple places in Vermont during covid, they just couldn’t find work around for anything and keep using the same old excuse. If you only care about trails then you could go, but otherwise dont even spend any money.

We're sorry to hear about your experience Tugbai but, yes, Covid causes some off operational realities. You don't necessarily have to understand the lack of Valet or luggage carts, but we're operating under state guidance and those are the operational realities we're living with. We're sorry the reality of operating during Covid provided hardship for you. Hopefully we'll see you again when we can operate at full capacity and the virus is more fully behind us. Best. Steve Wright.

Booked a 3 bedroom condo for the wknd (fri-sun) w family of 6. We were sent an email that they would like to stagger check ins, I assume because of covid. So we signed up to check in at 11am... upon check in they said they would email us when the unit is ready (knowing, per email, we may not get into the unit until 5pm— which is fine). 5pm rolls around and no email ever came so we go to the front desk where a line of NOT KIDDING about 50 people formed behind us all needing to check in. (Good covid policies right!?) No ones rooms were ready and we we told there was nothing they could do and they had no idea when the units would be ready! We had to complain just to get $80 in meal gift cards to spend at their resort (haha). When has $80 ever fed a family of 6 at a ski resort anyways!? We had brought food with us on the trip to eat in our condo because we didnt want to spend money on eating out, we just wanted to relax in our room for the night. Spoke to manager who was not helpful at all. I assume there were A LOT of unhappy people that night. We go on ski trips every year and have NEVER experienced anything like this. Very poor management— we will not ever be going back to jay peak. They couldn’t even compensate us for the time we spent waiting on our unit to be ready. When the room was finally ready over 2 hours later, I went to the front desk where people were still calling to check if their rooms were ready. If you dont have enough staff to have rooms ready, you shouldnt book the rooms—just shows how greedy they are. Sucks for the owners of the condos because if jay peak is managing their homes, they just lost a lot of business this wknd! Shame on Jay Peak.

Sorry to hear about this Amy and yes we sent out notes trying to incent later check in times (not motivate earlier ones), as we lost HK help and natural snow motivated phone calls. While we turned off reservations for the period more than 10 days prior, we certainly had our hands full. You shouldn't have had to deal with that, and if you're interested in talking more about it and want to give us the chance to make it right, feel free to reach out directly at swright@jaypeakresort.com. Best and most sincere apologies. Steve Wright

We just came back from 4 days at Jay Peak with our two children (ages 6 & 8) and it was an amazing experience. Wow! We stayed in a one bedroom suite with a nice view of the mountain and purchased the swim and ski package for 4 days. We also signed our kids up for ski lessons. The kids had a blast skiing, an even better time at the pump house and clips & reels blew their minds. At the end of the night they were in heaven at the arcade. There are so many activities for kids at Jay, you don't have to worry about hitting bad conditions. The room was spacious and clean with fantastic storage for all your gear and boots and a comfortable full kitchen equipped with everything you need. We got lucky and had great conditions during our stay and Jay has great terrain, so my husband and I had a great time as well exploring the mountain. We would 100% recommend Jay to young families. This resort is a hidden Gem for families.

The mountain terrain and snow quality were fantastic (and what Jay is known for). The resort elements missed the mark. Room was filthy with dirty cook top, disgusting pans, carpets not fully vacuumed (french fries/food), stains on the fabric furniture, used sponges left for our use in the kitchen, and garbage still in our closet from the previous guests. Spent the better part of our 1st ski morning addressing all of this and having HK people coming in and out trying to remedy. I did let the GM of Jay know with little more offered than "we will address it". At $600/night it is not my job (already have one), to work with the hotel staff to raise standards to acceptable, and more should be done both as an operational norm, as well as, to compensate guests who have worked to invest in vacationing at Jay Peak Properties. This last piece around over extending for the guest was prevalent across the resort in terms of valuing the customer experience. Bar staff gave very little in the way of a smile or engagement unless you were a regular who happened to sit down (which we experienced). We were on site for St. Patrick's Day and there was zero done to create a festive day or acknowledge the celebration in terms of simple drink/food specials or music (live or overhead). Much of this was discussed around the fire pit with other guests feeling the same thing. Again, the mountain is fantastic, but the resort aspects are way off the mark in terms of creating a positive vibe/experience. We will day trip moving forward to enjoy what the mountain offers and take our celebration of the day at Jay on the road once we are done.

There are customers who reserved via jaypeak website. And there the others who reserved via aggregators (like we did with expedia). If you are in the second category you will feel abandonned.
For example, we booked for a room with 2 queen beds, but got the king bed + sofa bed. Reception stated that since you reserved via expedia, you get what’s left. Priority was given to customers who booked directly from their sites. We got that answer after waiting 30 minutes on the side. Nobody really wanted to take care of us.
On day 3, tv stopped working. Receptionist forwarded me to a voicemailbox. Nobody returned my calls or provided any statuses. Tv came back at night.
Bottom line, very poor service and customer experience

On the positive note, The room was clean. The hotel location (just at the bottom of the ski slope) was perfect. Ski lockers were clean. Restaurants on site are so so (mostly comfort food)

Absolutely love this mountain. We have not been able to hit it just right with weather and snow conditions but even so have had the best times skiing here. The trails are challenging and fun , the people and the vibe are awesome and the views and location are gorgeous. This trip we stayed onsite at Stateside hotel and it was so affordable and so perfect we don’t want to do it any other way now. The room was great although a bit noisy and we have amazing fresh cooked breakfast each morning in the cafeteria. (Highly recommend the French toast!). The only negative was once again not having the lifts open to the top. theTtram and Flyer never ran and Bonaventure was off and on and even the Jet didn’t run on second day of trip. The conditions were rough on day 2 due to a super warm afternoon and soft snow followed by a hard freeze. We still will be back again and again. This mountain doesn’t disappoint even with tough conditions.

Sorry about the conditions Rachel, but glad you felt the vibe here (and, point of fact, I cooked your french toast that am and we talked about the lifts...:) We feel this is such a unique spot and when that's confirmed by folks like you, it adds weight to those thoughts. Knowing that there are kindred spirits out there that get it, makes us even more happy we're where we are, and we look forward to seeing you around here, again, next winter. - Steve Wright General Manager Jay Peak Resort

We have been to Jay Peak 4 times and love it but am really sad that so much is closed Monday -Thursday. No Clips and Reels climbing, Alice’s Table, Howies, Clubhouse Grille, Coffee stop. The resort seems full of kids so strange that the climbing isn’t open. Also a tip for anyone with a toddler(5 or under).. the season pass ticket price is $50, where as per day it’s $25, so do that if you are here multiple days.

We’ve been there for two Hockey tournaments ourselves. In the main lodge, there is a large ‘hang out’ room with couches, but I think it is open to all guests. Our team has tailgated outside (yes, even in December!) in front of the team condos so the kids/parents can be together. Outside the Water park, there are fire pits with Adirondack chairs, so that might be another option. I would suggest calling the hotel about that one room to see if there is a reservation system available for its use. Good luck!
