Detailed Reviews
The 6 of us booked room#7, therefore we had the all room for us which it was great as we could spread out all our skiing stuff. The room had sufficient amenities (i.e. hooks, chair, reading light for each bunk bed...). Having the bathroom next door always makes the staying very convenient. The staff was very caring and attenuative.
If you are planning to use the communal kitchen for cooking ask ahead if it will be available for the guest as it serve as kitchen for the restaurant.
The shuttle for Okemo stop right next door-very convient.

We have been here several times and food is absolutely fantastic. Local farm to table family style eatery. The Brussel sprouts were unbelievable. We had the most amazing waitress Stephanie- we had her surprise pie table with her recommendations- the scallops, the braised chicken and steak. All terrific. My favorite of the 3 was the chicken. The sauce and sides with it were some of the most delicious combinations I’ve had with my chicken. It was cooked to perfection. We had a salad with some fruit, squash and nut combo as well as some shrimp pasta in a creamy cheese sauce. Stephanie was an awesome server- attentive, her choices were perfect as she would know as she sees what’s in and out all night long and had a super cool personality. The vibe is perfect between the closed country style kitchen with trendy bad and cute beatrix Potter dishes. We love this place! Haven’t had a bad experience and have been 4 times! Will be back again for sure

Great restaurant and staff. Nice cross selections of family style dishes. Very strong cocktail game. Would also recommend going across the street to main and mountain for pre or post dinner libations by the fire pit.

A few guys and I were on an epic motorcycle trip in Vermont and needed a place to stay. I read the reviews on this place and since they were positive, I went ahead and booked the dorm. I was not expecting what I got.
This place felt more like a country Inn than what I thought of when I read "Hostel". The owners, Justin and Eliza were incredibly welcoming and all of the staff were equally great. Our bunks were possibly some of the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on. And the place is spotless.
We ate at their restaurant, and wow...it was great too. Small plate, tapas style food that was fresh, delicious and innovative. There is an attached bar, so after dinner we sat around the fire pit in the yard and had a few beverages.
A light breakfast (granola, yogurt and drip coffee) are all included in the rate. If you feel up to it, the communal kitchen is available for you to cook breakfast in if you wanted.
This is definitely NOT the last time we stay here. What a great find.

Sometimes you really need to take a chance, and this we did on our visit to Okemo / Ludlow, VT this past holiday week. Homestyle Hostel is a brand spanking new alternative lodging choice that just opened.
Our room was charming, memory foam bed was extra comfy, and stay very chill. We arrived and took advantage of the cafe bar warmed up with a great beer selection. The following evening we participated in the first of what we suspect will be many community meals.
Our hosts were lovely, personable and gracious. We enjoyed spending time with them, learning about their own adventures and what lead them to open a hostel in Ludlow.
We really felt right at home, made our way out to the hot tub after skiing, chilled in the cafe and snuggled comfortably in our room.
I am quite confident we will return. This was a very groovy lodging idea, which suited us and our style well.

The locale is presents charming and affordable. The customer service is the opposite -- costing one in our party thousands of uncompensated dollars. Six friends had the back room an on the last of two nights, a pipe burst along the ceiling pouring dark brown water everywhere. Substantial damage was done to two individual's belongs as their luggage was reasonably stored on the ground under the pipe. One had everything ruined. After multiple emails, documentation, pictures etc. this locale did not reimburse for damage they so obviously caused.
VT winter retreats make their money on reputation, customer service, and simple reasonability. This locale failed in every one of those respects. The trip was six months ago -- ample time to get it right.
Stay elsewhere if you value your sleep, cleanliness, and belongings.

On the last night of our stay this past winter, we awoke to the sound of water pouring in through the ceiling. Not dripping, but pouring. We weren’t sure if the roof was leaking under the weight of the snow, or if a pipe burst, but the end result was a disaster.
Our luggage was soaked, destroying an expensive pair of Uggs, a Coach wallet, and an even more expensive leather overnight bag!
We weren’t even sure if it was safe to stay there, what with all the water pouring in from God knows where, but we had nowhere else to go...
The owners avoided us the next morning. Later, after several complaints to the owners, they FINALLY agreed not charge us for the night (so very generous of them!), and would reimburse us for the damaged items. We have photos of the damaged items and copies of the emails in which the owners assure us that we will be reimbursed for all damaged items.
It is now 6 months later, and they’ve done nothing to rectify the situation.
PLEASE don’t stay here! If anything goes wrong, you cannot count on the owners to do the right thing.
This is their property, and they are 100% at fault here, but we are the ones who got the short end of the stick. Don’t let it happen to you!

We had a fabulous dinner here! The dining room is homey and hip, the decor is inviting and stylish. The menu is based on whatever is fresh and in season and changes constantly. The servers are friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The food is served family style at the table and comes out of the kitchen quickly. We loved the freshness and creativity in every dish. To top it off, the desserts were amazing. Don't miss the lemon pound cake - I am more of a chocolate lover but I am so glad I tried this. I'm still reminiscing about this dessert - it was great! Finally, the bar serves great drinks and they even had great "mocktails" for the kids. It was truly a great night out.

Hello Charles! We do not offer guest laundry services at this time. However there is a pretty great laundromat 1/2 mile away.
P.S. Thanks Rico_Travels for the kind words!
