The Wilburton is a truly special place. My family and I read about it in Yankee Magazine which featured its annual Doggy Slumber party. The mansion (main part of the inn) was decorated so beautifully for Christmas and the party was amazing. A chartreuse from NYC performed Christmas songs as we sipped champagne and delighted in the warmth of the season. Melissa (owner) couldn’t have been more accommodating and was genuinely so happy to host and entertain the guests.
We stayed in the Presidential Suite which was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. It even included a full kitchen and laundry room— perfect for our family trip!
A magical stay for sure and we will come back annually to enjoy this new family tradition at the most lovely Wilburton Inn!

We made a last minute reservation during a road trip just after Christmas. The Inn is spectacular and my 8-yr-old son was in heaven exploring its common rooms and games and petting the sweet Inn dog. We decided to take the Bridal Suite — a huge lovely room with gorgeous views. Feeling a little travel weary, we opted to pick up a pizza and wine and the innkeepers graciously set a table for up to enjoy our dinner. Breakfast in the morning was generous and delicious and we and other guests then got pulled into a holiday sing-along. This place is very special. The family who runs it welcomes you like, well, family. We’re so glad that we ended up there rather than opting for a more generic hotel.

Thank you so much for joining us and sharing such a wonderful review! The Wilburton IS so special - it’s so hard to capture the magic of the experience, so thank you for giving us words to explain it for future guests! How fun it was to have your son lead us in the 12 Days of Christmas with all the guests joining in for each day. How sweet that your 8 year old enjoyed the bridal suite jacuzzi bubble bath! What fun to have you enjoy the living room and fire side pizza dinner and for you and your husband to meet dad and talk about politics, religion and art and the New Yorker! We truly look forward to seeing you again in 2020! Happy new year to you all! Melissa

If you are traveling to Vermont in or around Manchester area then you can't go wrong with this rental. This is an ideal spot for large groups or a large family gathering with enough room for a small village!! My only suggestion is a small improvements to the home and facilities that would make it the perfect vacation get-away!
The location is central to many sites, restaurants, outlets and more. Our host Melissa was awesome!!! Communication is key when renting and she responded quickly and took care of all our needs. The house is located in a group of homes within a hotel property so there was so many activities on the property (soccer, volleyball, in-ground pool, tennis, giant chess set and more) Our host even had the first annual meet & greet for guests that we were so happy to participate for a talent show and party.

We were lucky to get a couple of weeks outside of NYC to stay at the Wilburton Inn at the end of the summer. We had family for the first week and good friends with us the second week. A total of 5 adults and 4 kids the whole time. With room to spare. We stayed in the Equinox Views Villa, which was a very spacious and comfortable 6-bedroom house situated in the nicest spot on the property. The outdoor space for sitting, dining, BBQing and building a fire was the absolute best - overlooking the expansive grounds and the mountains surrounding the property. To be able to wake up and see the gorgeous vista each morning and then hang out among the beautiful nature each evening was good for the heart and our souls after being in the city for many months. The house had everything we needed for cooking, cleaning, and hanging out together. The pool and ground activities were really nice and well maintained and we used them daily. There are lots of family friendly area activities (even during Covid) which were easy to get to from the Manchester area. And some incredible restaurants and good grocery stores just minutes away from the Inn made it easy to eat well. Melissa was an exceptional host - checking to make sure we had exactly what we needed and sharing the beauty and history of the property with us. She even took us to her family’s nearby farm which was one of the biggest highlights of our vacation. Our whole group felt very well taken care of and safe in the Wilburton. I will definitely come back and excited to see the glory of the property in the different seasons. It is a very special place.

The Wilburton was the setting for my nephew’s wedding celebration this past weekend. From the moment I crossed the threshold I felt the vibe which shouted, “Welcome, Relax, and Celebrate!” The inn was a. Welcoming site from the Thursday gathering of family and close friends who’d journeyed cross country on red eyes, managed flight delays and cancellations. Dinners at and from local establishments to a quiet evening catching up. The staff helping with getting stuff from trunks to rooms to helping with counsel on best ways to put finishing touches on welcome items. A relaxing afternoon exploring Manchester before the official start to Wedding at the Wilburton. The rehearsal dinner on the patio was delish and leisurely; no rushing to meet a specific agenda. And the welcome bonfire was a wonderful way to enjoy Vermont and meeting new friends and greeting cherished friends. Wedding day predations were smooth—no drama—lots of laughter. And the ceremony and party in the glow of the setting sun mirrored the glow of joy surrounding the guests. Finally the blueberry pancakes at the brunch Sunday morning placed the period at the end of the chapter.
Or so I thought. Hours later after arriving home I realized I misplaced my work phone. One call to the inn. A text from the housekeeper to say “I’m on it” and the next morning by 9am the phone was at Fed Ex on its way back to me.
It’s a terrific site with an amazing staff that puts the edge of excellence on whatever the reason for the gathering—reunions, weddings, corporate meetings or simple get aways.

During the month of May I found myself needing a place to stay for an indefinite period of time. My home in Dorset, VT had sold and there were no rentals nor homes to buy anywhere in the Manchester area due to the mass influx of people to the state. Vermont has had more people move here than any other state in the US!
Melissa Levis, the queen of the Wilburton, offered me room #18 in the Maxwell House. And what an excellent choice - the apartment (which had a kitchenette) was decorated with Egyptian motifs. The wallpaper and drapes had an Egyptian feel and the drapes were made from bright, brilliant fabric. It was a unique, and sublime experience that is not easily found in the hotel world.
I felt completely at home and at peace at the Wilburton. I awoke every morning to birds singing and flowers blooming outside my window. Everything was green and beautiful! I took brisk, wonderful walks everyday around the large property and spoke to other friendly hotel guests. Everyone I met was relaxed and content - it was truly an enchanting experience!
I recommend staying at the Wilburton Inn any month of the year as it is a special and magical place. Melissa Levis, a warm generous woman, is a gifted hotelier who knows how to make everyone feel special and important!
It's a Win Win for everyone!

We spent two weeks at the Green Mountain House at the Wilburton Inn in Nov 2020 and had a great time!
We were looking for a quiet, safe getaway during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the house provided exactly what we were looking for.
It was our family of four for most of time, and a few family members joined us for a couple nights. The four main bedrooms are all nice and large with VERY comfortable beds, while the last two are a little smaller but still nice and perfect for kids.
The kitchen was well equipped but we especially loved the large family room with the fireplace and the outdoor fireplace on the large, wrap around porch.
Because of the pandemic, we did not do much in the area, but plenty of nice hiking trails to explore, plus I’m sure much more that we didn’t get to. We also loved the town of Manchester, which has a lot of nice bars and restaurants.
The staff at the inn was also wonderful. Melissa was always responsive and Pat was incredibly helpful whenever we needed anything. Also, we lost a very valuable bracelet while we were there and Donna and Gerry from Housekeeping found it after we left and were honest and nice enough to mail it back to us! Very much appreciated!
We had a memorable stay and look forward to coming back again soon! A perfect place to spend some time either during a pandemic or not!

Stayed in the Innkeeper's cottage. Beautiful setting overlooking snowy hill and mountains. We were able to bring our dog which was really nice and the extensive grounds were great for playing outside and taking him for long walks. The cottage had a fireplace, two living rooms for lounging, fully equipped kitchen (I think there were enough plates and glasses that we could have comfortably have hosted dinner for 20), really comfortable beds and nice details like lemongrass lotion in each bathroom and board games in a living room cupboard. Oh and the breakfast at the main mansion was amazing! Can't wait to go back.

Our family can’t say enough about the Wilburton Resort in Manchester, Vermont. From the magnificent rolling lawns and fantastic views to the gorgeous sculptures throughout the estate, make this place is so special for a vacation. We stayed at the Innkeepers Collage and were so impressed with the quality of the comfortable furniture, beautiful bed linens, and lots of extra touches that you felt you were staying in someone’s home, not a rental property. The Wilburton offers many options from renting an entire mansion, homes with 2 or more bedrooms, to single elegantly decorated rooms. With a pool, tennis court, lawn games and lots of places to walk and explore, it is truly a vacation experience. Melissa was our hostess and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone.

There are few destinations in the world - yes, the thing that is round and constantly turning, that offer up an experience like the Wilburton Inn. The beautiful and majestic Green Mountains are merely a backdrop for the warm hospitality and elegant comfort you will find here. Our stay in the Maxwell Suites gave us our own private Idaho in Vermont, where we swam, hiked, shopped, ate, and even ping-ponged our way through a very relaxing week. They thought of everything, so we did not have to - especially in a precarious time when it's hard to keep one's mind on vacation. If you really want to get away but feel close to some of the loveliest people, the Wilburton Inn is where you'd go.

We do have jacuzzis and soaker tubs in some rooms. For a baby-moon (or any romantic getaway) we recommend Room 3: the Bridal Suite in the Wilburton Mansion. This enormous room has a gas fireplace, jacuzzi for 2, and amazing mountain views.
ps The snow this week is amazing!
