We recently spent a long weekend at this inn. We stayed in the Green River Lodge suite. The room was extremely private and quiet. We never heard a sound the entire weekend, despite having other guests located in the same inn. We had breakfast at Up for Breakfast and dinner at Ye Olde Tavern (both excellent). Breakfast is not included...

Wonderful stay at the Barnstead, we loved the green river lodge room. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It even managed to snow for us, which was much appreciated during the mildest winter in recent history since we came to ski Stratton!

We enjoyed the proximity to town. Staff is friendly and efficient. Nice that they're welcoming of children. Great breakfast place in town, btw: Up for Breakfast.

We needed a place to stay in the Manchester area at the last minute. The Barnstead happened to be having a special on remaing available rooms for that weekend. We stayed in one of their suites for a very great price. The innkeepers were really nice and very accommodating. They even brought in a pack and play crib for our...

We had a wonderful stay at The Barnstead Inn this past weekend. The hosts upgraded us to their largest suite at the last minute due to a cancellation, which was unexpected and very kind! The suite was cozy, just the way you picture it should be in Vermont in the winter time! It was also very clean and quiet. So...

Recently I had to travel for business to Southern Vermont. As it was my first time in this neck of the woods, I had no idea where I might find lodging for a few nights. One of the locals who work for my parent company stirred me surprisingly enough away from the local resort hotel. She said she wanted me...

The Barnstead Inn is an amazing experience! The grounds are gorgeous and the owners are simply wonderful! We truly enjoyed ourselves at the Inn and cannot wait to return. We checked in, got a restaurant recommendation and, upon our return, discovered the owners had made a fire for the guests outside the brick oven cottage. Our children had a blast...

We stayed in the most incredible room/suite I have ever been in. The fire was going and the beautiful stone floors were covered with area rugs to warm our feet. Homey yet modern bathroom and bar accomodated our every need. It was the coziest, most beautiful & homey room I have ever been in. MEMORABLE to say the least.
