My husband and I stayed at the Clifford Country B&B in August, and really enjoyed our stay. Emily makes you feel like you are part of the family, the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Our activities included relaxing in a rocking chair taking in the view, strolling down the country lanes, harvesting "rat-tail radishes" in the organic garden... More

I spent 20 days in this cozy wooden house with a vast garden where lives a wide variety of wild animals. Every morning, finches and woodpeckers might wake you up, chipmunks might walk around you when you sit on the porch. The host is an extremely warm hearted grandma who used to travel around the world and could speak quite... More

I recently stayed three weeks at this charming country B & B and was sorry when I had to leave. The innkeeper, Emily, is friendly and outgoing and makes her B & B a welcoming home away from home. The ample breakfasts are excellent, the pastoral setting is perfect. I can't wait to return.

We had a wonderful visit to this b&b! It was our second time. We have three kids and they ALL keep wanting to come back. That alone speaks volumes. Normally we cannot get them to agree on anything! Emily is a very accommodating host. We arrived late in the night on Friday and she wasn't bothered at all but greeted... More

The other reviews have said it well -- away from the hurried life, beautiful house and grounds, great views, Emily is a wonderful hostess (and she makes a great breakfast!). There are towns, restaurants, and other attractions nearby (but not too close). There is wildlife -- birds, tame chipmunks, etc. Highly recommended.

Last August was my third stay at Clifford Country B&B. I look forward to returning next summer during another New England road trip. Emily's home is charming, overlooking her flower gardens, fields and mountains. Best is Emily's hospitality, offering tasty breakfasts including farm-fresh eggs and milk, local blueberries and her own baked goods. She makes one feel right at home... More

My girlfriend and I had the opportunity to stay with the lovely Emily over Labor Day weekend. Emily went above and beyond as a host easily distancing herself from our past B&B experiences. Similar to other guests, we had the opportunity through Emily to share intimate moments with the area's wildlife. In addition, Emily gave us wonderful recommendations and maps... More

We loved this place. The setting, the host and all the wildlife! Hand feeding birds and chipmunks, wild turkeys and a small herd of cattle in the back ground against the leaves! Highly recommend this place to couples, small family groups, hikers and people who just want to rest and enjoy the scenery.

Best bedroom window view of any Vermont bed and breakfast or travel lodge. Great breakfast, true local farm to table foods, sweet raw milk from the dairy farm up the lane, homemade bread. Great brewed coffee - not the Keurig disposable kind! In season you can pick fruit right off the orchard trees. Can't get fresher than that. Innkeeper a... More

Being addicted to back country roads, when we turned off the highway, my husband said he liked it already. We were there for a family reunion and traveling with our dog. When Emily welcomed "Tinkerbell" we knew this was going to be the perfect fit for us all. Not only were the breakfasts delicious but Emily told and took us... More
