Great room, balcony, and location. We were there to ride bikes and the place is in a suburban setting about 2 miles below the southern end of the Island Hopper trail. Hiking and biking trails also available at Red Rock and Shelburne Bay parks nearby also. Clean room with wet bar which accommodated our morning med prep needs. Renovation going on and balcony furniture not present at first but provided and made for a great view of the bay at sunset.

I booked this for one night in October. Prices are very high and rooms are limited in this area in October. After reading a lot of negative reviews, I was nervous. Upon arriving, the desk clerk was friendly and the lobby was very nice and clean. Our room was clean and looked recently renovated. It was a good experience.

The Quality Inn was a convenient location for visiting both Shelburne and Burlington. The price for our 2-night stay was a good deal too.

The negatives about this property: (1) our balcony room being too close to the highway in front of the hotel - too much noise. (2) The smell or deodorizer in the stairwell was overpowering.

We spent one day at Shelburne Museum and the second day touring Burlington.

The breakfast in the great room near the lobby was a nice treat every morning.

I rented a hotel room for three nights Saturday night 9/5/2020 Sunday night and Monday night. Saturday night due to Covid and not being able to celebrate anniversary or birthdays I wanted to be a really nice night for me And my boyfriend. I’ve stayed at this hotel many many times before at least 10 and this is the only time we’ve ever had an issue so this isnt always. I was here in March for a birthday party. The hot tub wasn’t working then so I decided that I would wait until I was working. I called last week and also a month ago and they said it don’t worry it’s all set it’s working I called last week and they also said it was working. When I arrived last night on Saturday the 5th I was excited to spend a nice night with my boyfriend and be able to go in the hot tub and relax since we didn’t get to celebrate our anniversary or birthdays due to Covid. We get down by the pool and the hot tub we can’t get bubbles in I asked a lady by the pool if maybe she knew what was going on she said she was trying to get it to work for three hours. Fast forward till tomorrow I wake up and go to the bathroom and try to flush I realize that my toilet is not flushing I did what anyone else would do take off the back and try to get it to work. It did not work so I called the front desk they said they’ve made a call into Maintenance because two other people have had the same issue and that they’re going to try to get it to work. Six hours later I still have a toilet that doesn’t flush. I called and asked what was going on and they said the maintenance person was three hours away won’t be able to get here till tomorrow. So I’m renting a room with four people and we’re just supposed to dump a bucket of water into the toilet to flush it that’s not cool. I finally decided to maybe see if the hot tub is working and I go down by the pool and I ask someone down by the pool if they’ve got it started yet and they said no by now there’s a weird smell because someone went in it was a dirty cause and there hasn’t been any motion in The hot tub so it’s just sitting there. Honestly I’m surprised I’ve never really had a bad experience with this place and I don’t know if it’s just because they don’t have a lot of staff or everything is new and due to Covid but I’m very disappointed with this stay hopefully the manager will help me out tomorrow and give me a good deal on my package because I’m staying here although not much is working . They offered another room next to us to go to the bathroom.

We booked this hotel for two nights and prepaid prior to our stay. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The room was recently shampooed and was damp when we arrived and the smell of cigarettes was overwhelming even though it was a nonsmoking room. The room needed to be deep cleaned and we found crackers on the floor in the bathroom, and on the side of the bed, hair on the bathroom floor. We had to contact the office 3-4 times to repair the broken lock on the door to the room and two times to send up a tv remote control; which they did. The porch screen was off and the carpet to the deck was ripped up and removed. Several of the main doors into our section we open and not locked which is a safety concern. I will say that the bed was very comfortable, with nice sheets and new pillows. We found out that they have been open for a week and previously had people living in there in the hotel rooms due to Covid. Quality Inn of Shelburne would have been better off waiting to open the hotel and thoroughly deep cleaned the rooms and make sure door locks were working prior to opening up to the public.

I have recently stayed at the quality inn Shelburn in Burlington Vermont.. We stayed two nights. (from friday the 6th of March to Sunday March 8th.)

We were very disapointed.

When we decided to book this hotel, it was mainly for the pool. We were two families who booked two rooms. We have kids and the plan was that, during the day, we would go shopping and then we would come back to the hotel to relax by the pool with the kids. But it was not relaxing at all.

Last saturday, March 7th, which was our full day in Burlington, We were refused access to the pool from 11 am to 7 pm because there was a private party.
When we booked the rooms, no one told us there would be a restriction on Saturday. Even on saturday morning, there were no signs that suggested that the pool would be closed to the public ( the paying customers of the hotel). So, we went on a long shopping trip with the kids promising them that we would be back before supper to swim in the pool. We were even supposed to go visit some things but canceled them so we could get back to the swimming pool so everyone would be happy. When we got back to the room at about 3h30- 4 pm, the kids quickly got changed and we rushed to the swimming pool to finally relax after a long day. When we got to the pool, there was a sign that said the pool was closed until 7pm for a private birthday party. My kids were so disapointed, they were crying. We went to the front desk and they said they couldn't do anything. So we headed back to our room very angry. This was the reason why we booked this hotel. I couldn't believe that I, a paying customer, was refused access to the reason why I chose the hotel. We ended up going to the pool at 7h15pm and the kids only played in the water until 8 because they were tired. They, and us, were very disapointed with the experience.

I can understand that, somethimes, hotels can give acces to their pools to birthday parties or something, but it shouldn't stop the customers from enjoying the pool too. Plus, what made me even angrier was that no one told us anything about this. If they had told me when I booked, I might have chosen to go somewhere else. Or if they had told us on the morning of March 7th, we could have changed our planning and come back to the hotel a bit later.

It was supposed to be a special weekend for the kids and it ended up being an anger and disappointement managing situation for the adults. I wrote an email to them after my stay but got no response

The room smelt like old stale smoke. The room was not clean. They advertise hot breakfast is included but we couldn’t find any and there was no one working the desk- just a sign up that says no rooms available. I guess when there are no rooms available there is no staff available either?? I would never stay here again. The ceilings are water stained, the tub is stained. The carpets are nasty, the room is very dusty. We checked in with another family who had to leave is at 10:30
Pm and drive 2 1/2 hours to our next stop because there was water POURING through the ceiling from a unit above and this hotel did not have another room to offer them.

I will say the bed and bedding were clean and the bed was comfortable, not worth $152 to sleep in a dirty, run down hotel.

This was an overnight for me and my young kids to visit family close by and be close to downtown Burlington. This place is scary. The price was ridiculous- $264 considering our accommodations. I should’ve spent the extra $50 to stay at double tree, comfort inn or delta. Staff was friendly, breakfast was nice for the kids. Aside from that I felt I had to barricade the door with the arm chair at night. The back part of the hotel, not connected to the main building, is clearly long term housing or low income housing. There were cars on blocks in the parking lot. There was a strong, overwhelming air freshener smell in the stairway, hallway and room that gave me a migraine. Absolute disaster. Pool was nice but not heated, surrounded with caution tape outside and renovations?? on the way. Just stay closer to downtown. Pay the extra $40-$50 to stay at a place you feel safe.

Our room reeked of stale cigarette smoke even though it was nonsmoking. I suspect it was smoking once spin at time. The cleaning process didn’t work. Maybe they should consider shampooing the filthy carpet and army green dirty curtains.
The ceiling lights were burned out when you entered the room. The water faucet on the bathroom sink needs to be repaired. I reported this to the front desk early morning when leaving for the day. Upon returning at night, the lights were still burned out and the faucet not fixed. The gentleman that I reported this to was the morning person who takes care of the breakfast area AND front desk. He wad a nice looking black man who wasn’t interested in what I had to say. In fact, he wasn’t writing anything down until I asked him, “Are you writing this down?” He then got mildly assertive and said, “Did you report this after you checked in?” “I said no because when we got to our room it was discovered and it was late.” He said it didn’t matter and keep the asking me what time we checked in. The whole encounter was so unprofessional.
The only pleasant part, was our bed and it was new and so comfortable.

I stayed last night at the quality inn in Shelburne VT. For 300 dollars....for one night for a basic room...that smelled of mildew and had mold in the bathroom. Stains on the bedding. Peeling wallpaper and over all just absolutely disgusting. When presented to the front desk with pictures and confusion as to the state of the room I got "well we are short staffed". That would be an acceptable answer if I room wasn't ready when we got there...sure. That is not the case, this hotel is gross for what they are charging for an over night stay. I've stayed at hotels at 50 dollars a night that had a much cleanliness atmosphere. I couldn't even use the shower because it was so disgusting. Do not stay at this establishment if you want any rest or ability to clean up.

As another traveler stated, it is not huge, but nothing in New York really is. For us, it was large enough to easily get ready in the morning with no problem. I would agree; if a large bathroom is necessary speak to the manager; they are more than happy to accommodate if possible.
