Fantastic, historic building beautifully kept by Elizabeth and Richard. We stayed in 6 B&Bs in 3 weeks and this was easily the best. Lovely room (we stayed in the signature room, but the others looked great too) and we received a very warm welcome from the hosts. Lovely walks from the house. Only downside was that places to eat dinner... More

This is an old house but the rooms we had were large, comfortable and well appointed with plenty of electric outlets, good sized towels and lots of hot water. It seemed expensive but I don't know much about rates at B&B's. Shrewsbury is a bit out of the way but easy to get to and you can buy excellent maple... More

Stayed here Dec.27-Jan.1 2015.We have stayed at many B&B's in Vermont and elsewhere.Seasoned B&B visitors realize that a great experience is a combination of the Inn and Inn Keepers. The best of both can be experienced here. Our room(John Buckmaster) was exceptionally large and well appointed. This room is perhaps twice the size of the average B&B room. The common rooms were all very... My husband and I have stayed here twice, in 2011 and November 2013 and we love it. We stayed both times in the John Buckmaster room so can't speak about the other rooms but this one is fabulously comfortable, clean, and pretty to boot (and I have no doubt the other rooms are as well). Breakfasts are just delicious and... More

Everything about the Buckmaster Inn is incredible. The rooms are well appointed, the beds are ever so comfortable and Elizabeth's breakfasts are to die for. The grounds are beautiful, with multiple flower beds, a rolling lawn and great places to sit and have a drink or just enjoy the peacefulness of the setting. The hosts, Elizabeth and Richard are probably... More

We stayed here recently for our wedding with some family. It is such a beautiful Inn and super clean (which is always a pet peeve of mine). Elizabeth makes the most amazing breakfasts from scratch and is a fantastic hostess! We all felt at home here and wished we could have stayed all summer! I highly recommend the Buckmaster Inn... We stayed here for 2 nights on our travels around New England, and it was bettered by none. so much so we wish we had stayed much longer. The hosts Elizabeth and Richard made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped through the door, til we sadly waved goodbye. The inn dates back to 1801 and has been styled... More

Booked one night @ the Buckmaster Inn and wished we could have stayed longer. It is a charming inn with 4 rooms, each decorated beautifully with country primitives and just the right touches from Elizabeth and Richard, the innkeepers. The family is so welcoming from the minute you arrive. The grounds are spectacular with many wildflowers and country touches. We... More
