There's so much wrong with this place that you'd tire of reading about the particulars. Here's a couple though. To get the rooms vacuumed, the head housekeeper brings her home vacuum to work. The breakfast menu has the usual selection but two line items are of particular interest: 2 slices of bacon $3.00, and two lines later "two slices of...

We enjoyed our stay at The Stowe Inn, our room was clean and looked as though it had just been redone, staff was friendly. We stayed in the main house. Very comfortable, quaint little Inn in a great location. We did not eat at the restaurant (saw other posters). Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here w/ my husband & kids for a family ski trip b/c I found a Groupon for the best possible price in Stowe (booked the least expensive option which was the Carriage House Bldg). When I called they upgraded us for free to a double queen room (# 202) in the Main Bldg (which would've cost a lot more...

We arrived at The Stowe Inn fairly late on a Friday night...It was about 4 degrees outside so we were eager to get into our room and sleep in a warm bed.. Check in was fine, the overnight employee was very lovely, even offering to walk us to our room. When we opened the door to our room, we were...

I stayed in Stowe Inn in June for Residency Week graduation from Norwich University, however, the first room I got that was not inside the main house was not what I expected. The room was okay with the basic amenities, but unfortunately in the middle of the night I had mouse in the room which was not a pleasant experience....

We stayed in main house, which is historic, old, and charming in the common areas but our room was only more or less clean and in need of updates. For what we got the room was not great value. Cheap (king) mattress, slight bleach stain on carpet, old cheap furniture. Staff were courteous but mildly neglectful. For example, no one...

Dear guest. We recommend the main inn rooms which have the interior corridors, upscale furniture etc.. Ask for the superior suite or new rooms with the new wood floors. We did check the room after your review was posted and did see that it appears there was a bleach stain when the housekeepers were cleaning the toilet and this carpet...

Don't not stay in room 101. Though it is advertised as one of their highlighted rooms, it's not cozy, there is a stain on the floor, the appliances are falling apart, and the room was just dirty. The TV was smaller than my IPad. They have a fireplace, but I guess you have to bring your own wood. Yes -...

This was a really nice place to stay. The staff is so friendly and really helpful. The beds are really comfortable. Overall a great place. We spent the night there because my sister was having surgery at the Copley Hospital in Mountainsville.

Stowe is such a beautiful town. And from the outside, you'd think the historic Stowe Inn would match the this beauty. Sadly, it doesn't. the rooms are fairly drab, generic and poorly appointed. It has none of quaint atmosphere you'd expect from the billing. The staff is great, friendly and helpful. But even they can't salvage the ordinariness of the...

I was in the area and decided to stay overnight. Quick and easy reservation. Lovely property that is within just a few minutes walk from everything. The dining room looks out over a small river. Gorgeous antique furniture throughout the property. Bed was comfy. Pillow a bit thin. Slept well anyway.
