I've been coming to this lodge with my family since I was a child and have never had a bad stay. The rooms are cozy yet spacious and always well stocked with kitchen tools and blankets. Try to avoid the ground floor as rooms can be a bit drafty on this level but you control the heat so it's not...

I was not impressed with my visit to Stratton. It feels as though it has become very corporate and the management is cutting corners on the mountain. The mountain should be the main focus, but instead it seems like a lot of the focus is on the village shopping/restaurant area. The village area was nice, but it was not why...

We have skied most resorts in Vermont and Stratton is among the best. There is a wide variety of lodging options at or very near the base. The village at the base is great and has something for everyone. There are multiple restaurants, bars and shopping options. We will definitely be back to Strattnext year

We stayed 4 nights over Valentines day week. The skiing was great, snow every day. The accommodations however were awful! We have stayed at Obertal 5 times in 30 years. I don't think any of the owners have updated. This was the worst. There was heavy mold behind the toilet. The sink was cracked and the cabinet was coming apart. The...

Here are my takeaways from my trip here this weekend. 1) Skier drop off and pick up area is very easy to access and they have loads of volunteers to point you in the right direction. Very helpful for just getting started and not knowing what to do. 2) The Rental process was very simple and easy, especially with two...

Ober Tal is a great value for a bit more than your basic hotel room. The layout of the condos is far superior to someplace like the Mountain Lodge at Okemo and usually less expensive. Add this to the superior experience skiing at Stratton and it makes it a perfect choice for family accommodations that are not luxurious but comfortable.

We stayed at Stratton Mountain Resort in the Long Trail House in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit with a fully equipped kitchen. Great view, very clean, nice size bedrooms, comfortable, underground parking. We also loved that the main lodge has free ski bag check and ski check for $6/nightly near the gondola. We liked that we didn't have to...

I am an avid skier and grew up skiing in Vermont. I discovered and fell in love with Stratton via a friend who has a condo Trailside. However, I was very disappointed with the mountain on my first trip up there in 2017. Stratton's management needs to improve if they want us avid skiers to keep returning. 1. I like...
