I won't bore you with a long review, but I'll echo what most are saying. The Matterhorn Inn is a gem and worth the price. It is a quaint little place in a sleepy ski town and Joe and Wanda really make your stay. We "found" their pride and joy by accident, having to pick a place while there for...

Wanda and Joe are a great couple who really bring home the atmosphere of the Matterhorn. This wasn't just a place to lay your head, this was a place to make friends and relax. Breakfast at 8 am each morning and the bar is open when Joe says it's open. Relax, read a book, sit on the porch, and enjoy....

My husband and just returned from our 2 night stay at the Matterhorn. What wonderful host Joe and Wanda are. We were met with open arms. As many of the reviews say "they make you feel like family". We were upgraded to a nice large suite which had 2 bedrooms and a very clean bathroom. We walked out on our...

I'm really glad that I listened to the majority of TripAdvisor reviews for the Matterhorn Inn and ignored the naysayers. We stayed here over 4th of July weekend, and we're already planning our return trip(s). Perhaps other, less-satisfied reviewers were expecting the Hilton or Marriott and were disappointed when they got exactly what they paid for, i.e., an adorably quaint,...

The owners are very friendly, but that is basically the only thing going for this Inn. We stayed in a pet friendly room and would equate the quality to a $40 motel room. The vibe was that you were staying in someone's home and they were doing you a favor as opposed to the warm feeling of being a paying...

Wanda and Joe are the nicest people. It felt like I was staying with family. If your looking for a luxury hotel this is not the place. But if you are looking for a lodge type feel with good food, nice people and a homey touch then I would definitely recommend this place. I would definitely stay there again.

Came here with a group from my law school. The owners are beyond nice and accomodating. Every request was fulfilled, they even gave us sticks and marshmellows to roast in the fireplace! They helped us hook up our music so we could really turn the big common room into the hang out spot. Great hot chocolate for only a dollar!...

I stayed here for five days now and I have never met nicer people. The two owners husband and wife are some of the greatest people that I've met. Food is fantastic and at a reasonable price. You are really able to get that homey feel. Location can't be beat being right down the street from Mount Snow. If I...

This 5-star rating is given based on factors as they apply to the authenticity of a true Vermont/European lodge experience. People looking for Grand Summit Hotel accomodations/Ritz Carlton, this is not rated in those categories. It's a real lodge and here is my review. Stayed in a suite room in January with family (3 total). The owners are genuine caring...
