I've stayed at the Hotel Coolidge 4 times in the last 3 years (my daughter goes to college in the area). When you read the reviews for the hotel portion (not the hostel), you'll likely see either very positive or very negative reviews. Understand - this railroad hotel is old - at least 100 years+ I'd guess. The stairs creak,...

David B, Owner at Hotel Coolidge, responded to this review

The Hotel Coolidge was re-built in 1927 to continue in its role as a place of hospitality primarily for railroad passengers. It has operated 24-7 since then. I was pleased to have us confirmed as to friendliness, price and service. We enjoy serving the public as innkeepers. The reviewer got it right! We are clunky in some respects but we...

Went up for a weekend program that is held at the hotel. Pretty old property and its much bigger that it looks from the street when you start walking around inside the place. The room was kinda old but we're not high maintenance so it was fine. Plenty of nice hot water but they really need to get new beds,...

This historical hotel is in the center of old White River Junction. (Most/all of the newer chain hotels are a few miles removed from the old center of town.) It is big, friendly, charming (and all the stuff associated with the word), and quite well kept. Interesting history (President Coolidge stayed here) as well as art work including a mural...

This is hotel is very conveniently located, because it is right in the middle of White River Junction, which itself is in the middle of a cluster of small towns that are in the area (such as Lebanon and Hanover), and it is not very far from the Greyhound bus stop (which you can you can get to on a...

Hotel Coolidge is full of history. A nice stay in a place that could use a little face lift, but bed was comfortable and room was clean. Recommend taking a room on the back as train station is in front and does go through middle of the night. Stayed two nights. Bed was not made up in between two night...

I stayed here on a business trip to Lebanon NH, and chose the Coolidge over nearby hotel chains for its proximity to restaurants and to support a local business. I ended up saving the company a few bucks too, as the room was cheaper than most of the other choices in the area. I like to be able to walk...

While the staff on duty was lovely, this hotel is a nightmare. It is old and rundown. Located right next to a railroad, trains come by literally all night long. Upon arrival late evening I discovered that the room had no towels in the bath. The on-duty desk person promptly brought two bath towels up. To my shock, one had...

We were here on a trip to visit Dartmouth College. The hotel is about 10 minutes away from the campus. The rooms have a rustic feel to them but they are clean and warm. There was some train noise during the night but it wasn't too bad. The beds were relatively comfortable. There is a place for breakfast next door...

We checked in at this hotel on sat 1st October and promptly left an hour later. Whilst we accept it is an old hotel with 'character' there is no excuse for a cold damp room, threadbare carpets, tepid water in the bathroom, not to mention dirty venetian blinds, plastic mattress cover and overall shabby feel in desperate need of an...
