The White House is an elegant Victorian mansion/small hotel nestled on a hill, with gorgeous views of the Vermont mountains, beautiful gardens, and elegant furnishings on the comfortable porches and other public areas. A great get-away in summer, with the Marlboro Music Festival near-by, or in winter, being near Mt. Snow. The rooms are comfortable, but some are a bit...

Let me start off by saying our thoughts are with all the residents of Wimington, Dover, and all towns affected by hurricane Irene. We booked The White House Inn for our wedding ceremony and reception back in January. My wife grew up in East Dover, Vermont and was very familiar with all venues in the area. After visiting every option...

Lovely inn with very friendly staff. Good restaurant and cozy bar. We look forward to coming back later this year. It must be amazing during the foliage season.

The Inn itself is very nice. The common rooms, bar, and dining rooms were well maintained. We had a room with a balcony. It was nice. Clean. But the balcony had chipped paint on the floor, and cobwebs, with bugs stuck in them, all over! I asked for a broom so I could sweep them off. The woman at the...

We love this B&B and try to come every year. It's quiet, relaxing, picturesque. We've stayed in many rooms, but this time we stayed in Room 1. It was quiet despite being off of the main staircase. It had a lovely fireplace. We had dinner in the bar - good food, super convenient! There's a nice restaurant option in the...

From the time I made the reservations until we checked out it was a positive experience. When we arrived we were cheerfully greated by the staff, who made it a point to show us all of the wonderful amenitites that this beautiful early 1900's home had to offer. It was extremely clean, and the decor was true to the period...

I have driven by theis inn hundreds of times and was very excited to stay. The day we arrived, the manager could not have been nicer. The building was beautiful at first glance. It was pointed out that it was the original wallpaper which I realized must be true because it was peelin goff in every direction. The pool area...

New York Times hailed White House Inn as "one of the ten most romantic places in the world.” They’re spot on. From our hosts Phil and Stacy, Zorro the dog to the romantically appointed rooms (ours had a 4 poster bed, working fireplace and Jacuzzi tub) plus the best dining in the area this was one of the best weekend...

My wife & I met in Wilmington 36 years ago. Well, we took a trip down memory lane to revisit Wilmington and felt what better place to go than "The White House". We were not disappointed! The owner greeted us and willingly showed us some options we had as far as room accommodations were concerned. We stuck with our original...
