The prices were absurd just because it was a football weekend. Aside from that the accommodations were nice. Found hotel to be very quiet. For $250 dollars a night I wish they would have had bagels or donuts in the morning. They did have apples and some type of granola bar. Not what we wanted. Our heater was blowing out...

My stay here was fine. Nothing spectacular though, hence the 3 star average rating which I will explain as fair and balanced below. First off, this is Blacksburg Va. We have poor options for food, dining, and hotels.... Something you deal with. This hotel is somewhat more expensive than their rivals and they bill themselves as a luxury hotel in...

The Main Street Inn bills itself as an upscale hotel-it's not. There are upscale touches (granite counter tops), but then things like plastic glasses and plastic shower. .We were in a king suite with a couch in the sitting area. The bedroom was too small for the king bed, since the dresser had to be placed in the hall and...

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. It is a good learning tool for us. We are always looking for ways to make our guests visit to Main Street Inn more comfortable. As you discovered, our location is the best in Blacksburg. However, when you're located the the heart of downtown, sometimes you experience the sounds of...

Your experience at this hotel will depend on whether it's a football weekend and whether you have folks next to you who like to stay up late and party. We read the poor reviews about paper-thin walls and lack of amenities, but then saw the more reviews that were all positive. Now we know why: The wall ARE paper thin....

I would like to start by thanking you for choosing Main Street Inn for your lodging choice. Yes, football weekends can get a little crazy. GO HOKIES!! I am disappointed you experienced a grumpy desk clerk. Our number one complication is our helpful and friendly staff so this is a surprise and is noted. Our second best compliment is on...

This is the perfect small hotel - the charm of an inn but the amenities of a luxury hotel. While the rooms are not huge, they are engineered to make life very comfortable on your stay. The bed was complete luxury, and the shower went above and beyond with its design. The staff was personable and eager to help when...

Thank you very much for your wonderful comments for Main Street Inn. Yes, we are COZY.. Especially in the winter with our oversized fireplace in the lobby. And what about those comfy beds?! Hope you'll be able to stay with us often.

We love staying here when we come to visit, drop off or pick up our son. Great location. Rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable and the staff is friendly and professional. Highly recommend. Conveniently located on main street. Easy walk to shops, restaurant and campus. No driving needed once you arrive.

Thank you for choosing Main Street Inn. The key word is LOCATION and ours is great. Once you park your car, you may never need it again. Located in the heat of the historic, cultural arts district, dining, shopping, theater and Virginia Tech is all but a stroll away.

I have stayed there three times so far and will be staying a fourth by the end of the month. The rooms are extremely clean and bright. The room layout is great. We always stay here when we visit, drop off, or pick up our daughter at VT. Main Street Inn is located within walking distance to everything, so once we park the car, we don't need it again until it's time to leave. The parking is convenient and feels like a safe/secure place to leave our car. The rooms are clean,...

First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am very pleased that you enjoyed Main Street Inn, it's great staff, and excellent location. It's nice to be able to park your car and walk everywhere. Parking in Downtown Blacksburg is very limited and can get expensive, so the option of a short...

We always try staying here when visiting our son at VT. The Inn is located within walking distance to everything, so once we park the car, we don't need it again until it's time to leave. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, the staff is friendly and there's always snacks and coffee available in the main lobby.

Yes, we're all about the snacks. You will aways find biscottis, fresh apples, trail bars, and werther's originals in our lobby. Let's not forget the fresh baked cookies and homemade muffins.

My fiancé and I both graduated from Virginia Tech and enjoy visiting occasionally during the year. The Main Street Inn has become the perfect place for a couples getaway! It is convenient to all downtown locations and has very stylish and spacious rooms. The staff is always friendly when we visit.
