5 Star for us. I think it’s important to take the time to write positive reviews. Very clean, extremely comfortable beds, great location, friendly staff, good food, fun rooftop bar. Great job! Dog friendly too which is very nice as well!!
We are New Yorker City couple on a road trip decided to upgrade from the usual roadside chain hotels and check out the Bristol, found an easy 5 minutes off the freeway yet tucked away in a cute historic town. What a gem: the sparkling room, the staff, the rooftop restaurant, the location, all top shelf! -Beautiful well appointed room, felt brand new. We had a Heritage Suite with nice sitting area, great shower, nice quiet AC, mini fridge, ice maker on the hall, and one of the most comfortable mattresses we’ve had in a hotel in a long time. Nice touches cool ceiling light/fan. Luxury Frette linens! -Only complaint and a very minor one is the Kurig coffeemaker in the room delivers pretty gross coffee for the overall quality of this place. There’s no lobby coffee offered (only in full restaurant) but that may have been a Covid limitation on service. -Outstanding Food: Normally we avoid hotel restaurants but the rooftop restaurant had just reopened during Covid and offered beautiful views and open air dining so we gave it a shot. OMG everything we ate was a home run: fried green tomatoes were simple and ultra-fresh, pork shank tender and succulent, trout was more deep fried than pan fried so a little heavier than expected but perfectly prepared. Great wine list and we were offered $5 per glass all night as a Wednesday special. The most kind and helpful server, thanks Brayden!! -Staff was friendly and efficient especially Cody at check in whose description of the restaurant was spot on. -Pet friendly, we usually don’t travel with our dog but did this time and she was welcomed with a cute pet bed and bowls already in the room. We really appreciated this policy. -Fantastic overall value. Warning the pet fee is very high at $75 but in the total picture including our dinner the Bristol experience was a great value ... honestly not much more than the terrible dorm room like chain places we visited along the rest of our road trip. What a special find this place is. Congrats to the designers and the owners for giving this cute town of Bristol such a boutique gem of luxury. We would recommend this to anyone in the area or passing through for the night. …
If the devil is in the details, TBH is slipping. Upscale hotel needs to pick it back up in order to stay relevant. Stayed in a 2 room suite for 3 night; an investment to get away for some much needed r&r. Great location and wonderful facility overall. Service and cleanliness need some immediate attention. At upscale price point, it come with an expectation of professionalism, cleanliness and attentive service. TBH needs to focus on shoring these areas up to regain their luster.
Clean room, I felt safe- but thin walls which effected my sleep, as neighbor was having a "good time." I was in the street and when anyone locks there car "beep beep" it was loud- thin glass? I don't notice this at other hotels when my room was near parking.
Hubby and I stayed here on a brief getaway and loved it! Room was clean, spacious bathroom and really loved the turn table for the tv in the room! How cool! Staff was super nice, friendly and accommodating! We would return!
