To start, I'll say we don't stay at places in this price bracket—ever. But this trip was an exception. We booked when we knew this would be toward the end of a long, road Oddysey including Texas, Iowa, Minnesota, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and then Virginia (and all places inbetween). I will say, I don't regret it for a second. We stayed...

My husband and I recently stayed at the Kings Creek Inn. The personal attention from Alice the (manager) and a warm welcome from Dawn and Jim proprietors, made our stay so very special. Alice was gracious and efficient and did everything with ease. From our romantic dinner for two served in the historic wine cellar and our breakfast was enjoyed...

Our stay was outstanding and this is a hidden jewel on the Eastern Shore. It is a rebuilt plantation home (burned down) situated on a gorgeous small peninsula surrounded by water on three sides, big oaks and a beautiful yard with chairs down by the water. Our room was great, bed was comfortable (plenty of pillows), great décor and the...

We just returned from a three night stay at the Kings Creek Inn and we can't say enough good things about the accomodations and the owners. We were suppose to stay 2 nights but that turned into three with an unexpected snowstorm. The rooms are lovely and the view and property outstanding. Dawn and her husband are warm and welcoming...

Delightful stay, wonderful property with gorgeous grounds and views. Dawn and her husband and all her employees could not have been nicer. Had a delicious breakfast and we had dinner as well on saturday evening. I loved the "cellar" dining room. It had such an intimate feel. We would definitely stay there again.

The food and the hospitality at King's Creek Inn are outstanding! Absolutely couldn't be better. Have stayed here several times and the beauty, the hospitality and the food are excellent. Never disappointed!! This time was a reunion with a dear friend from high-school and I once again I was thrilled with the Inn, the service and the over-the-top food! Just...

Located just out of town, the King's Inn is an outstanding property with a most gorgeous water view. Well-maintained historic building situated in beautiful and quiet setting. Great room (a suite, actually) with a view and beautifully furnished. Had good dinner outside on the porch facing the drop-dead view and sunset. Would definitely return.

A huge thank you to Dawn and her staff for creating such a magical day for me and my family. Food was fantastic! Services were excellent. Bravo! I had to plan a wedding in Cape Charles from Nashville, TN. It was not an easy task, but Dawn and her team helped me every step of the way. The location is...

My husband and I spent the last weekend in April at Kings Creek Inn and enjoyed the natural beauty of the water, surrounding grounds, abundant birds and perfect weather. The Edward Suite was very comfortable, even providing a long bath in a claw foot tub placed by a large private window that overlooked Kings Creek leading to the bay. Service...

Reviews by other T.A. contributors prompted us to stay at Kings Creek Inn on our way down the DelMarVa peninsula. We had the Mary Suite with the deck overlooking the creek. Service and comfort were superb. Other reviews have been very positive, and we concur. Jim provided a great deal of history about the Inn dating back to 1747 and...

“Air conditioning really rocks--if you like that kind of thing. We closed the vents in our room and turned on the heater. Opened the windows to warm things up a bit too.”

“All the rooms are lovely but the 3rd floor is a lot of stairs and may not be for everyone. We stayed on the 3rd floor and loved it.”

“There are only four rooms but the second floor suites have outside seating and great views”

“We stayed on the third floor. The rooms are unexpectedly large and well conditioned. We visited during record high temperatures (Virginia Beach was about 100 degrees) and our room, even though a hike from below, was kept at an excellent temperature. If, however, you have mobility issues, beware that there are a lot of stairs.”

“Decide if you want a private balcony and view of the water. The cost is a bit more but well worth it if available.”
