Only 4 houses from the bay and a wonderful care taker. My wife and I stayed here for her birthday and we had the rose room. Cute little place and great location within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants!

My husband and I arrived in Cape Charles with no overnight reservation. Not wanting a traditional motel room, I called a B&B and asked the owner if he had a room for one night. He did and I asked the cost. He replied "what price do you put on heaven". After responding that sometimes you do have to put a...

Chris was an excellent host. Our room was clean and we were instantly so relaxed being at Sea Gate. We enjoyed the multiple porches and that the house was a block from the beach. Can't beat the location or the price in Cape Charles. We will certainly be back!

This beautiful old house was built around 1912 and renovated to comfortably host guests. The guest rooms are on the second floor. Ours was a nice sized room with a very comfortable bed and a full bathroom. We were very pleased with how clean and well maintained everything looked. In the evening before we retired to our room, we sat...

We could not have asked for a better experience! The hospitality and breakfast was a pure delight. Chris, the owner, made us feel right at home. Location was great. We walked to dinner, shopping and the beach.

Four houses down from the beach, you can't beat this location. Plus the owner is a long-time resident of Cape Charles and Vice Mayor! He knows everything there is to know and is hilarious to boot. We will definitely be coming back! Best B&B in Cape Charles for sure!

We hadn't been to a B&B in years, but had loved it on our last trip to Cape Charles 15+ years ago. The innkeeper, Chris, made us feel right at home. While it wasn't the luxury of a 5 star Marriott, it was clean, comfortable, and quirky like visiting your favorite uncle. We enjoyed our adventure and felt like Chris...

Spotlessly clean and comfortable, this B&B is four houses from the beach in the quiet little town of Cape Charles. This is an area in which to relax with beaches, golf and little villages along the water all within easy reach. Chris is one of the best hosts you will ever meet, he encourages guests to enjoy themselves and has...

Chris is a wonderful host, and he makes a delicious breakfast. The accommodations are very comfortable, and the sun porch is a great place to begin a day on the Bay (the Chesapeake Bay and Cape Charles Beach are less than a block away). Don't be surprised if you accidentally pass an entire afternoon rocking and reading in the bay...

If you just want to "get away"... step-out of the crush of daily life... and have Time Slow Down so you can just have some JOYin your days, then make a reservation with Chris at the Sea Gate in Cape Charles. It isn't about how much things cost, (very reasonable) it is about the simple joy of lots of sky,...

“Rose Room is just lovely, though the bed was a tad squeeky. The 2nd floor shared porches, and refrigerator are nice touches.”

“The best experience we have ever had. Chris is a wonderful host and will go out of his way to accommodate your needs, i.e., we had to have breakfast early every morning before the set hours and he was more than willing to accommodate us. Very enjoyable stay.”

“We like the Rose Room. It is half bath, which I usually hate, but the shower across the hall was never being used (it is shared with only one other room).”
