My stay was great. On a busy weekend, thid hotel gave the best rates in town. The staff was great. I got a lot more bang for my buck than i had expected. I would recommend this hotel to my family and/or friends

We liked simple tea and cookies in late afternoon. It's not a fancy motel but pleasant and reliable and great value. There's a good bagel place right next door in the same parking lot. It has a big indoor pool.

We had a great stay at the English Inn. The staff is very pleasant and the hotel itself has a beautiful area to relax with a fireplace and 24 hour coffee. Our room was very nice - large with a separate sitting area. The breakfast was excellent - it was clear that great pride was taken in providing it. The...

Although an older property, it has a lot of charm. The breakfast was good, with a nice sized breakfast room. Coffee and cookies in the lobby area in the afternoon. Staff very nice. Close to UVA and quaint shopping and restaurant area. We would go back!

We loved the beautiful rooms, the attentive staff. Fabulous breakfast! It was raining, and staff brought an Umbrella for use to use ASAP! Rooms were cleanly, housekeeping staff friendly. Enjoyed the brand of shampoo/conditioner/lotion/soap and body wash.

Very comfortable room with separate sitting area. 24 hour coffee in the lobby. Pool looked clean and inviting. We didn't have time to use it but I tested the water and it was warm. Breakfast buffet was very good, the hotel decor is beautiful, outside and inside. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

My sister and I stayed at The English Inn when attending a concert in Charlottesville. The only downside of the stay was check in. The staff was clearly overwhelmed by the volume of people checking in at once, and there were no more rooms with two beds ready when I arrived. After about 30 minutes, they had prepped more rooms,...

The staff was very nice and the location was convenient for our trip to Charlottesville. The bed was just alright but everything else was good, including the breakfast. The wine, brewery, and distillery tours on Nelson 151 are worth making a day of.

We've been going there for years. Nice rooms with refrigerators, beautiful sitting area in lobby. Great breakfast buffet. Located on Rte 29 in the middle of Charlottesville's business district and also very close to the university.
