Spent three nights here, as a base for visiting the Waltons mountain museum, the hotel is very nice and all staff i met were friendly and helpful. My room overlooked the university playing fields where i was able to watch parade and band rehearsals. My room was clean and comfortable, with housekeeping service always on hand with fresh towels etc....

Its a nice hotel, with a well renovated lobby. The rooms are okay, beds are comfortable and the room and bathrooms are clean. The bathroom tile and sink needs updating. If your not picky you'll be fine. Breakfast was good and had a lot to offer. If you usually stay at a Hilton hotel, this might not be the place...

This place is a great location (walking distance to the campus grounds) and a very reasonable price. Complimentary wifi and breakfast also helps. Service is friendly. The accommodations are good. The only problem I had was the shower: sometimes it took a while for the water to get warm and the temperature can fluctuate between cold and hot even after...

We stayed here because of the convenience to the campus. The Cavalier Inn is older, so the rooms are smaller and it is definitely showing some wear, but we were glad to be so close. The bed was pretty comfortable, breakfast was good, service was friendly, and the price was reasonable, so I really can't complain! The historic photos in...

I called to make a group reservation on a Saturday, the sales manager was not in so the reservation department booked us 11 rooms and gave a rate of $120 per night and sent me the confirmation on all 11 rooms and took my credit card and advised they would charge it prior to arrival on 9/11/15. On Monday the...

I was having procedures done at UVA Hosipital this place was right there. It was quiet and when we needed anything the front desk was willing to help. I wish I could remember I think it was the Villa. Great food and wonderful staff. It has everything in a great circle with coffee shops. Would recommend it unless you need...

The Cavalier Inn is in a great location. You are close to all the action at UVA and the town of Charlottesville. The Cavalier Inn is more like a motel, it is not fancy, but that said the rooms were very clean and comfortable. There are great pictures in the lobby of events and people at UVA. The staff were...

Scary experience in every way, shape and form. If you like feeling like you're sleeping in a college party dorm, great. People were talking in the halls until 2am. Loud doors opening and closing constantly. The sheets feel like plastic (easy to clean after big parties?! The looked like they had been washed in boiling water a million times already)....
