Our stay at the Inn at Monticello was wonderful. The inn is an old manor house that is furnished beautifully with great attention to detail. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the 'James MAdison' room which led out to the gardens and the 'family' of chickens, which I am sure contributed eggs to...

A great place to stay for a weekend in Charlottesville. We were visiting Monticello for our one-year wedding anniversary (married in nearby Scottsville); the Inn itself is just down the road. Owners greeted us and were very warm and gracious. The Inn was very comfortable, they were able to accommodate our GF request without any problem, and their cookies were...

Inn at Monticello is conveniently located near Jeffersons Monticello. Bob and Caroline are fabulous hosts. Breakfast was excellent both days. Stayed in the "cottage". Very spacious and comfortable. Steam shower was an excellent extra that was not expected. Loved the frequent visitors (Chickens). Added some country aspect to this otherwise colonial home. Would recommend highly.

Very nice place and a convenient location. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. We'd definitely go back to visit! We were visiting our son at UVA and found it close enough yet a nice getaway.

We had the best experience at this stupendous Bed n Breakfast. The room was beautiful along with the home and property. Enjoyed the fantastic gourmet breakfast that Bob and Caroline prepared daily. Oh and we adored sitting outside and watching the rooster, Prince, and his hens. We just can't wait to go back. We truly recommend this wonderful place.

Thank you for the great review! That's the first stupendous we've ever gotten! Prince is becoming a celebrity rooster, and we're thinking about putting him on you tube for his daily "tweets" from the porch railing! Certainly would be interesting to interpret what he is saying.

We stayed at the Inn for one night in December and had an amazing stay! So wish I had stayed longer. Carolyn greeted us and gave us a lay of the land. She was so warm and welcoming and made us feel at home instantaneously. Later that evening we met Bob who too was also very friendly and gave us...

It's all about the people. Hosts were friendly, outgoing and stimulated conversation. We enjoyed our visits with the other guests. Whether it is the comfy chairs around the wood burning fireplace or rocking on the porch this is a great place to kick back and relax. It is within hiking distance of Monticello (+/- 3 miles up hill) on the...

We only stayed one night- it is probably better to stay here for more than one to truly capture the atmosphere and appreciate the house itself. The food at breakfast was delicious. Our room was on the ground floor directly off the main lounge area and was too noisy. I appreciate we had to have this room as we were...

Staying at a Bread and Breakfast is about meeting interesting people. The highlight of our stay was meeting the other guests and the innkeepers, Bob and Carolyn. The conversation flowed. The inn is conveniently located near Monticello as well as historic Charlottesville. We recommend going in December as doing the Holiday evening tour of Monticello. The room was comfortable and...
