We stayed here for thanksgiving as a base for exploring the area, particularly the Shenandoah National Park. It is located in the historic district of Culpepper and the inn has charming touches in its decor. It is also conveniently just above two restaurants and a high end culinary market with imported goods and a nice selection of wines. Our room,...

If you are looking for a residential B&B in a quiet setting keep looking. This is an Inn in the middle of an up and coming down town so do not expect a quaint breakfast in the morning. Having said that we were graciously greeted and plied with a glass of wine or beer while being shown to our rooms....

Over the years, we have gotten to know John and Connie (the owners) of the Thyme Inn and It's About Thyme restaurant. Not only do they operate what we consider to be THE place to stay and eat in the Culpeper, Va. area, they are also most enjoyable to talk to. The rooms upstairs in this old downtown building are...

We recently spent over a week in the Thyme Room. It is one of their larger suites. We thouroughly enjoyed the large but narrow balcony overlooking Davis Street. Since it is a corner room so there are also 2 tiny balcony's overlooking the the patio seating area below between the 2 buildings It was our first time actually sleeping in...

My husband and I were driving from Charlotte, N.C. to the Hamptons and thought it would be fun to stay in a little B&B along the way. Wanting to avoid the traffic around Washington, we drove up Interstate 81 and stayed at The Thyme Inn in Culpeper. It was Memorial Day weekend and the proprietor was not on the property...

My fiance and I decided to check out their winter deal (B&B plus dinner at their restaurant) and it was not only well worth the price, we found a new place for a quick weekend getaway. The check-in was a bit awkward as we arrived late and were not sure where to go but once we figured it out, the...

We stayed in the Tuscan Room which is very spacious and if the weather had cooperated it would have been wonderful to use the outdoor balcony. Room was not overly clean and the bathroom floor was dirty; however, the charm of the rooms made it a "go to" Inn and our fireplace once we figured out how to light it...

I am very picky and I can't even begin to describe what a well run and completely lovely place this is. Utterly perfect - beyond what you've experienced in the states, I suspect. Love, love, love it. Walked downstairs for a seafood meal. Was greeted with a glass of world-class red wine.

Lovely room (the French Room), great location, very clean and comfortable. A little pricey, but there are specials. Love the open bathroom and shower! There is some street and restaurant noise, but you are downtown and over a restaurant. Fun to overlook Davis Street as evening approaches.

My wife and I stayed in the Sage Room for two nights. There is no elevator and the stairs are long, but well worth the effort. They help with bags if required. Our room was delightful, clean, had a cute gas fireplace, which was wonderful, and the bed was heaven. Coupled with the excellent food downstairs at It's "About Thyme"...
