Our group visited Damascus to ride the Virgina Creeper trail and enjoy the beautiful fall foliage. We stayed at the Mountain Laurel Inn for two nights this past weekend. Jim, the owner, greeted our party of 10 (6 adults and 4 children) when we arrived and gave us a tour of the inn before we settled in to our rooms....

We stayed here for our anniversary after biking the Creeper Trail. First problem was that they said we could have Rambo Suite and we paid extra for it b/c supposedly it was "full occupancy." When we got there they said that we were the only ones staying there and that bathroom in Rambo was out of use. The house was...

My wife and I spent 3 nights here in June. The hosts are very hospitable and provide a good breakfast. OK to lounge around around during the day, and yes they do have internet. The host has done some singing during his long career, so he will likely serenade you over breakfast. We'd be happy to go there again.

The hosts at the Mountain Laurel Inn are delightful, but the inn is dark, dusty and cluttered with too much stuff. Breakfast was dreadful. We missed the amenities we like at a B&B - ice, microwave and sink in kitchen, afternoon snack, good reading lights. The website makes this inn look like something it is not.

I stayed here for two nights after staying 1 night in the Apple Tree Inn. The Apple Tree was nice, but only had availability for one night. Leslie, the host, was very gracious and was concerned that I would be bothered by the ladybugs that inhabited Lillie's room and the bathroom. I assured her that I was not concerned and...

Leslie and family were wonderful hosts and provided four perfect breakfasts even with a 5 day old baby. They have a huge1906 house with beautiful paneling, lots of character and full of interesting old stuff. There are several nice places to sit and relax including large front and back porches. Its a 15 minute walk from the center of Demascus...

We plan on staying again this summer. The best feature for my husband and I was the ability to park our motorcycles after a long day of riding & hiking and not getting back on them for dinner. Each night we enjoyed a glass of wine/beer on the porches, then walked the mile up the Virginia Creeper Trail which runs...

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful bed and breakfast for our one-year anniversary and we loved it! If you are planning an overnight stay in Damascus, VA, to bike the Virginia Creeper trail, you will love staying here. It's run by this really nice family, whose children help out with the upkeep of the home. From the minute...

This is a GREAT Bed and Breakfast in Damascus, VA and amazingly family friendly! We are a family of three with a ten year old boy, and the Mountain Laurel Inn was just perfect for us! The Inn itself is a wonderful old Victorian home decorated with lots of antiques and family pieces, but the decor is warm and inviting....

Finding this gem to make reservations was a little difficult (it wasn't on TripAdvisor at the time), but it was well worth it. Business travel took me to Southwestern Virginia for a week. When my husband could not accompany me, my best friend came along. Thus, I was looking for a B&B that had a room with two beds. The...
