We had a car that we took to Vienna Station, then took the Metro into DC. Very easy. if no car, you could take Uber from the hotel to the metro station and go from there. There are also city buses that pick up close to the hotel (we did not use them so I do not know how convenient or easy they are). Vienna Station is approximately 4 miles from the hotel.
