The owner, Dr. Engel, is a gem to work with. He is very responsive and helpful. We celebrated our anniversary here and they were experiencing some staffing issues at the time. However, Aurilia was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay! The rooms were pleasant and comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent!

Thank you for that kind comment and for your understanding of the situation. When key staff that are supposed to be there and are not it really puts a burden on the rest of the team. But, as you saw and call her out, Aurilia is Team Captain and also is our SuperGirl . I am happy you had a...

The staff at Stonewall Jackson Inn were lovely, accommodating and immediately put my partner and I at ease, catering to our needs and desires. We purchased the Romantic Getaway package and so it was! Beautiful, relaxing couples massages in the room to finish the evening, after a gift certificate to dinner in downtown Harrisonburg. Melody made sure that we felt...

A beautiful B&B with history. We were able to park our car and explore downtown Harrisonburg by foot. Ir's a very friendly town, with people who really want you to enjoy your stay in the area. Walk the downtown area before choosing a restaurant.

Hey, Harrisonburg is widely known as the "Friendly City". We take Southern Hospitality seriously here, it is our nature :-) Your recommendation to walk the down down Historic and Culinary District is a good one. We have all kinds of eateries from super burgers to fine cuisine and sidewalk cafe's to formal dining; a wide variety of venues, menus, ambiances,...

On a quick business trip my husband and I enjoyed a lovely stay at the Stonewall Jackson Inn. Everything was perfectly set up for us, even for only one night's stay. The innkeepers were thoughtful and attentive to our every need. Breakfast was wonderful, as advertised! Sitting outside on the patio with a glass of wine in the evening was...

You made Aurilia's day today. Thank you for sending her that birthday card and thank you for this great review. You are right, life is good here. Sitting on the patio with your loved one watching the full moon is not hard to take and you will never forget it. Next full moon is October 16th, see you then? :-)

Stopped at the Stonewall Jackson because we had been there a few years ago, had enjoyed the stay and the staffs outstanding service and friendly attitude. They were as good or better than we remembered, or even better. Melody was helpful from reserving the room, to showing us around the Inn, and helping decide where to have dinner. Wayne, was...

Thank you for that 5 star recommendation! We agree that our Harrisonburg's Downtown Historic Culinary District has the best and widest variety of dining venues in the Shenandoah Valley; and a short evening stroll takes one right to the center of the District. Hope to see you back here soon for another memorable "Stonewall Jackson Experience"!

We went there for our anniversary weekend and we had a great time. The innkeepers were very friendly and accommodating and the room was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was simply amazing! Beautiful presentation, tasty and filling. There are wineries nearby and activities such as canoeing and kayaking if you're into that. Overall, I would highly recommend the inn to...

The Stonewall Jackson Inn is located a reasonable walk from downtown Harrisonburg in an early 20th century sprawling home. The rooms are fully acceptable if not particularly special. Most everything you would expect from a moderately high-priced B&B and nothing more. The service is splendid--efficient and friendly. Breakfasts are good. While this will probably not rate as your most memorable...
