We stopped here on our way back to Pittsburgh from Florida. The hotel is relatively new or remodeled. The bed was comfortable and clean. The decor is modern and room was pretty clean asides from a lot of flies. I wipe surfaces and spray Lysol due to the pandemic and killed a lot of flies in the process- the light fixtures were also filled with dead bugs. More worrisome to us though was the lack of mask enforcement. The common areas, hallways, and elevators are pretty small and numerous guests were permitted in and walking around without masks despite signage indicating this was required. There were cheaper options in the area, we expected more from this hotel in terms of safety precautions.
We stopped at this hotel overnight during our Blue Ridge Parkway trip. What an absolutely gorgeous hotel. The people at the desk were most welcoming. After checking in, we asked for recommendations for dinner - the Mason Jar was recommended - it was really good! Our room was a king suite and saws very roomy, exceptionally clean, lots of hot water, and ample towels. You ordered your breakfast from a limited, but good, menu and it was placed into a “to go” container for you. Guests were social distancing & all wore masks. Great place to stay. We highly recommend this one!
Brook made a wonderful impression on our little family. She went above and beyond to make our unplanned stay memorable, during this challenging time. Brook showed what true hospitality is and we are truly appreciative. Thank you Brook for Everything!!! We will be back again! Oh and the water is remarkably hot which is wonderful after a long car ride :)
We stayed here on our return home from Florida. The hotel was remodeled a few years ago and everything was spotless clean & comfortable. Beds & pillows very good. We had a room that backed up to a hillside so no noise at all from the highway. We both slept very comfortably. Breakfast was very good & filling. The cinnamon rolls are so yummy. Staff very helpful too. Would definitely stay here again.
This property is special in one very important way. It provides a quiet place to sleep. I was in room 406. It gives you a hot well stocked breakfast. The water pressure in the bathroom was great and the temperature was hot. The window coverings gave the necessary darkness to sleep. The front desk was courteous and effiecent. The cookies at 5pm were delicious. Their mobile checkout was a nice touch. Close to the freeway with gas stations and restaurants. Shoneys had a wonderful buffet with all you can eat chicken. There was not one thing I could complain about. Even the parking lot was easy to get in and out. That doesn't happen very often and THAT is what makes this Holiday Inn special. Now, I don't want you to think this 2-star hotel is perfect. My wife is a coffee gourmet, and she said that was not to her liking. She is a little persnickety. Nice job Holiday Inn.…
