Innkeeper was most rude and offputting, and accommodations, in one of the "finer" rooms were mediocre at best. Cleanliness appeared to be an issue. Room size, even for a B&B, was cramped and bedding was dingy, and considering the remarkable noise apparent in our "secluded" room, it was nearly impossible to relax. I fear that many reviewers have provided positive...

A B&B at Llewellyn Lodge has for 24 years been Lexington's most respected and friendly B&B if you go by sheer numbers of repeat guests versus other similar types of B&B lodging in the area. . Guests do not come back to places that are not clean and friendly, long and short of it. We have several thousand guests who...

We had a wonderful experience in beautiful Lexington and at the Llewellyn Lodge. Not having been to the area before, John, our host was most helpful with dining suggestions, day trips, walks, etc. John is a fly fishing guide and my husband is looking forward to our next visit where he can check out the local streams. I will be...

We have been staying with John Roberts at Llewellyn Lodge for at least 15 years. The location couldn't be better for both the college town of Lexington and for all the hiking and other surrounding outdoor activities. The rooms are great, with the MOST comfortable beds in the whole world!!! The breakfast is scrumptious including John's "killer hot chocolate". John...

We are from CA and we had never been to Lexington. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Llewelyn. The food was excellent and the owners were wonderful and very welcoming. Our accommodations were very charming and comfortable and the location was beautiful and close to downtown. We highly recommend the Llewelyn.

The host was extremely nice and can cook like a French Chef. The Llewellyn was one of the cleanest inns I've ever stayed at and it was very quiet and comfortable. There is a lot to see and do in the area and several great places to dine within walking distance. If you don't stay here when you're traveling through...

This was my first visit to the Llewellyn Lodge, though not my first to Lexington. So far 2 out of our 4 children have chosen to attend Washington and Lee University, hence my numerous visits to Lexington. John's knowledge of the area, the satisfying breakfasts (the coffee got 2 thumbs up from this professed coffee snob!), and the convenient location...

Business trips have brought my husband and me to the Lexington area for the past several years. We began by staying at area hotels until a friend suggested that we try the Llewellyn Lodge. It has been our "home away from home" for the last six or seven trips. The house is cozy and comfortable. The rooms vary in size...

My in-laws discovered A B&B @ Llewellyn Lodge when my husband attended VMI (1989 grad). A B&B @ LL excels in the ABC's of a B&B: Accommodations, Breakfast and [superior] Customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed our Labor Day get-away to Lexington and our stay with hosts, John and Ellen Roberts.

I made the mistake of booking at a local inexpensive "chain" hotel two weeks ago. After one night (with two to go) I simply couldn't last another there. I "sos'd" John at Llewelyn Lodge and he cordially accomodated me with a room and experience that couldn't be more different than the chain hotel. All three of my stays have come...

My wife and I put together a cycling trip quickly to conicide with other family activities. This B&B was great; the owner, John, likes visitors and filled us in on what we needed to know about Lexington and places to see in the area. The lodge was a welcome place to recharge ofter a day of cycling.
