Jan Willem and Nancy offer a stay that will make you want to return again. The Manor was beautifully decorated and their meals were above what I expected. If you are looking for art instruction, this is the place you need to go. If your looking for a peaceful getaway, it fits the bill for that too. I definitely want...

We stayed in the Main House with our friends and their two adult daughters. Our other friends stayed in the Guest House. The rooms were very comfortable and roomy. We had our own bathrooms which were large. Each of our rooms in the Main House had balconies. We had the option of visiting with one another in the living room...

What a beautiful place! We went up to watch our son play football at VMI as Citadel fans, go Dogs!! We left of not just fans of the beautiful countryside but fans of Shenandoah B&B. Nancy and Jan were such gracious hosts. It was so peaceful, down a country road away from the hustle and bustle. And the homemade breakfast...

It's pretty clear we caught these folks on a bad weekend -- their grown kids and three very young grandchildren visiting at the exact same time as a 4-day art retreat -- so that is the context of this review. It could be great at other times, but we would not know. For $500+ per night for two people, this...

The wife is a wonderful cook (with a background in art and art supply sales) and the husband is a fantastic artist who teaches "just right" for guests at every level of art exploration. Our group was one of the most experienced in art he had staying at one time -- he knew just when and where to push/nudge some...

This was our first time staying at a Bed & Breakfast, and now we are hooked! Although our stay was short, we will definitely stay there again when we visit Lexington. The place was lovely, clean, and very welcoming! We were there visiting VMI and this place is only a very short drive from the school. Nancy went out of...

We were in town for Parent's weekend at VMI and booked well ahead. The house is decorated beautifully with modern artwork. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The small balcony was great for sitting and relaxing and enjoying a glass of wine. Nancy worked around our schedule to prepare breakfast, and it was outstanding, probably the best home cooked...

We are first time Bed & Breakfast people. All hotels in Lexington were booked. Many friends recommended Shenandoah Manor and we were happy to have a place to stay for VMI Parents Weekend. Our beautifully decorated Rembrandt Room was comfortable and clean with our very own private bathroom. However, it was Nancy's fabulously delicious breakfasts which will make us come...

We were able to secure a last minute booking at this lovely B&B for Parents' Weekend at W&L. When I called, Nancy told me that they were completely booked. She called back two minutes later telling me that she did have a room with two twin beds that was available if I wouldn't mind two beds. I jumped on it...

We spent one night here to celebrate my wife's birthday and to have a small getaway from our small children. We loved the experience and had a wonderful stay. The room was well put-together and the hosts were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was delicious.
