At the end of a long day of riding i usually like to park my bike and not have ride for again for meals etc. The Craddock Terry fits the bill. This is a rather upscale hotel with all the amenities. Our room was spacious, comfortable and rather unique. Exposed beams and a stone walls were reminders this was once...

I stayed only one night this week at the Craddock Terry Hotel and I wish I could have stayed longer. The boutique hotel was originally a shoe factory--one of the busiest in the world--and the thoughtful architect and designer kept a lot of the factory's construction bones and artifacts delightfully intact. There is a big red shoe on the outside...

This hotel used to be a shoe factory and they have kept the huge beams and beautiful stone where they can. It overlooks a great walking area. Nice dining within walking distance. You will hear the train which I'm ok with and you get to see the James River. We will go back again.

We wanted a quick getaway and decided to stay at our local boutique hotel. So glad we did. Wow!!!! Loved being in such a beautiful piece of history. Great references to its original use, shoe factory. The original exposed walls, period furniture, original floors, etc., were beautiful. The amenities were great - soft terry robes, glassware (no paper cups), high-end...

I had the perfect Mother's Day! We were visiting my mother and sister in Lynchburg for mother's day and we were once again impressed by this wonderful hotel and restaurants. Craddock Terry Hotel, Shoemakers Restaurant and Waterstones. Throw in the Bluff walk and it really could not have been a more delightful day! Oddly enough we stayed in the "Blufff...

The hotel is really fantastic. One of the nicest boutique hotels I've had the opportunity to stay at. The room was great. The service was great. The food was great. But the sleep was god awful. Which is kind of a problem. The train that I had read about from a few other reviewers made a grand appearance at 1:00am....

Everything about it works for me--from being greeted by Buster the Airedale, superb customer service from Michelle at the front desk, the shoe theme, and continental breakfast to go (served in a shoeshine box, of course! Rooms are quaint and well appointed, with a very nice, large walk in shower with a nice bench and rain shower head. There are...

In town for a reception, we chose Craddock Terry for it's proximity to several new and established restaurants and bars. First, easy access from 501. Plenty of parking on premises. The staff was very welcoming. We loved our spacious room on the first floor. Bed was very comfortable. Nice tile work in the bathroom. Exposed brick was awesome and the...

... as the CT continues its excellence. This is my number one review site, because we stay here regularly when we visit our daughter and grand kids. It's a restored shoe factory overlooking the James River. The rooms are spotless and well appointed with each of its rooms doors adorned with a different type of show. The bathrooms... spacious. The...

On the riverfront in the historic section of Lynchburg, Craddock Terry lives up to its hype by blending modern luxury with its building's past. Built around 1900, this brick structure once housed the fifth largest shoe factory in the world during the height of American manufacturing dominance. The factory closed in the 1980s, but opened as a hotel 10 years...
