We have stayed at several B & B's in the Charlottesville and surrounding area. This was by far the most enjoyable stay. Alan was most accommodating and so friendly that we felt like family ! We will definitely be back to the Ebenezer B & B.

Property wasn't anything close to photos advertised. House in need of repair. Bushes and grass need trimming. No lighting. Very disappointed because other accommodations needed to be made upon arrival.

Best breakfast I have ever had at a B&B. You must get the French toast casserole! Alan the owner was friendly and helped us feel right at home, treating us to wine and conversation. Great place to stay if you are visiting Skyline Drive or visiting wineries.

Went to Charlottesville for the weekend and had a lovely stay at this B&B. The owners were incredibly friendly and hospitable, the breakfast was delicious, and we even got to meet the family cockatoo! Would definitely recommend this place!

I had the pleasure of spending a night and a breakfast the next morning with my wife here. Alan, the manager, was very attentive and friendly and engaging. The building has a fascinating history (I won't give it all aways, you'll just have to go visit!) The breakfast was delicious. It's quirky and fun and historical all at the same... More

Enjoyable, pleasant stay at Ebenezer House Bed and Breakfast. We would stay there again. Friendly owner and fabulous. Eat at Madison House which was good also. Our room was clean and comfortable. We would stay again.

House smelled of cigarette smoke--which doesn't at all work for me. Also, I heard animals inside the walls. The people running the place were nice, but I could never stay there again. I am allergic to cigarette smoke.

962 brownie, I am so sorry that you were uncomfortable during your stay. We are a non smoking B&B but I am a smoker (working on quitting, almost there). During the time of your stay my mother was very ill and has since passed away, during this time my stress level was high and from time to time I absently... More

Enjoyed an overnite at Ebenezer B&B en route to Shenandoah. Great way to launch our vacation. Wonderful old church-converted-into-house. Alan is a phenomenal host, could not have done more to make us feel welcome and at home. Not a lot of restaurant options nearby, but we bought food and had a delightful meal at the provided outdoor table and chairs.... More

Stayed for 2 nights. Alan is a fantastic host and great cook. The breakfasts were outstanding!!! Loved the entire house. It was comfortable, lots of interesting antiques and felt right at home!! Easy access to the entire area. Will definitely be back when we return to the area. 'Sweetie', the cockatoo, was added entertainment!

The house was originally a church so was full of interesting architectural features. Sweetie, the pet Cockatoo loves people and likes people to visit him. Breakfasts were fabulous and filling-didn't need lunch. Is out of Charlottesville about 15 miles in country but nice quiet area. Alan, the owner/host was very friendly, had great restaurant recommendations and knowledge about the area.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Create life long memories here at the Ebenezer House B&B, in the middle of it all, in Central Virginia in the Greater Charlottesville area. The Ebenezer House Bed and Breakfast is a beautifully renovated country style chalet that was originally built as a Methodist Church in 1901, in Culpeper VA. It was dismantled in 1984 and moved to its current location in Southern Madison County. Doris Webb bought the property in 2001 and started the Ebenezer House B&B. When Alan Webb (her son) moved here he built a 1,900sf addition in keeping with the original building’s historical style, and includes a handicap room for guests with disabilities. Located just North of Charlottesville and just South of Culpeper, only 500ft off RT29, yet nestled in the woods along the Rapidan River. RT29 is a major north south access between Interstate 66 and Interstate 64 and is minutes from all the historical sites and wineries. Then tour James Madison’s home, Montpelier and Thomas Jefferson’s, Monticello, have lunch at the famous Ritchie’s Tavern Visit Charlottesville’s Downtown Mall, go ice skating, to the theater and Friday’s Night Live on the Mall. ... more   less
