We had our wedding at Glaramara and it was fantastic! The hotel has been modernized and offers a high standard of accommodation which is kept immaculately clean by hard working friendly staff that go out of their way to make all guests feel welcome. The food is out of this world and it is definitely worth a visit just for...

Attended a family wedding here and we honestly cannot speak highly enough of the experience. The staff were excellent, the rooms were spotless and the wedding went without a hitch. In the morning, the breakfast was superb; a great selection from local produce for your typical English breakfast, cereal, fruit, yogurt and pastries with a choice of tea, coffee, fruit...

A long weekend away in the lakes after a 17 year absence......why did we leave it so long! Fabulous mountain climb, long walks and sight seeing in stunning weather. The whole weekend was made even better by the fabulous Glaramara Hotel. Beautiful rooms and facilities, friendly welcoming staff and owner, with amazing cuisine standard food. The packed lunch service was...

Just back from a weekend with a group of walkers, staying at the hidden gem that is Glaramara House. Really enjoyed it, especially the evening meals, which were hearty and delicious. I was in one of the older single rooms, with no ensuite, which the owners are in the process of transforming and updating but it was very clean and...

We come here with our rambling club every couple of years or so, and Glaramara just gets better. There's an ongoing programme of room refurbishment and most rooms are now en suite. Ours was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable, with a view overlooking the front of the building. Sadly, the weather for our walking weekend was dire, to say the...

We had previously been to this hotel, it was undergoing refurbishment. Wow factor, what a dofference. It is licensed for weddings and you can have your reception there. The staff are hands on and so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The food is delicious and plenty of it. It is in a wonderful scenic area. There is also a...

Location - 6, Staff -6, Food, 6 etc Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, think Premier Inn. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Good beer, excellent breakfast. New owner...

Booked a one night stay, the hotel itself is spotlessly clean everywhere, the staff are all a very friendly bunch, we booked the 3 course evening meal which was absolutely spot on, the next morning we came down for breakfast to a very good choice, all in all this is an excellent hotel in a beautiful location, if we plan...

My first visit (with a group). Although I was in one of the older rooms which was quite small, the upgraded rooms look amazing. Location is great, food exceptional, friendly staff. Bar prices a little steep though
