I took three days down in Middleburg Virginia. this is a beautiful area of Northern Virginia. This is only few miles from Manassas and the first battle of the civil war or as we refer to it Bull Run. This is in the heart of horse country as well. Lucy makes breakfast and domestics se is absolutely pleasant as they...

We enjoyed a wonderful time at Briar Patch. The charm was evident immediately and we cannot say enough nice things about how Ali extended the most gracious hospitality before and during our stay. The surrounding town and farms and wineries were amazing and even though it was misty to rainy throughout our stay we enjoyed ourselves totally. A truly wonderful...

Well what can I say... Briar Patch was our choice of destination upon our second and last relocation to Virginia. This was our third visit. It really was great being somewhere familiar during our relocation. We stayed in the cottage this time with our cat, Friendly. We had the pool and the hot tub to ourselves all week long. Sitting...

We spent two wonderful romantic days in the cottage at Briar Patch. The cottage is so quaint and comfortable and even though it is located right in front of the hotel, nobody disturbed us. We did not come from too far away, merely 50 miles, from DC, and it was all worth it. You get everything in the cottage: privacy,...

We came to this B and B in the early evening. We were left a note on the door with directions on where our room was. The whole house was empty and there was an eerie feeling about it. Being in the house on our own, we felt a little unsafe and vulnerable. With out of country guests, the stink...

We went to Briar Patch B&B to celebrate our 1st year anniversary. I got to say that I loved the place. I'm allergic to gluten and my husband called months in advance to see if they could accommodate my needs. They made delicious gluten free breakfast and they made me feel special. Normally, when you buy stuff with discounts (Groupon...

We stayed at this lovely 1805 farmhouse in the horse country near Middleburg,Va for one night last week. It was homey, comfortable and we felt like we were coming back to our own home when we returned from dinner. We were served a lovely full breakfast the next morning and sat on the front porch in rockers, looking out at...

We stayed for one night at this B&B in the middle of October by using a Living Social voucher. We are from a small town and really appreciated the country charm of this old farmhouse. We stayed in the Iris room that had a private bath. It was on the main floor next to the guest sitting area. The room...

Very quaint and scenic. We had a very comfortable evening with the 1 king size bed available. The bathroom was a little tight otherwise the room is very spacious. Delicious home made breakfast, lots of wineries nearby and Middleburg is a wonderful town for shopping and dinning.

I've been to Briar Patch several times over the years. It's one of my favorite places to go for a getaway weekend with friends to relax and catch up. On this most recent visit, we did yoga on the beautiful grounds overlooking the hills, lounged by the pool and in the hot tub, and explored adorable downtown middleburg. We also...
