We stayed only one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was very welcoming and informative. We stayed in the "new" section build in 1905. The inn dates back to 1741 as a stagecoach stop. We didn't see any ghosts, but were...More
The homemade chicken pot pie hit the spot on this cool, rainy day! Or any day for that matter. Friendly service and even a phone charger for us to use while we ate. Old fashioned service in a great historic setting! Definitely going back!
Excited to stay in a historical inn. Dissapointed by the wornout bed and hair all over bathroom. Toiletries were mini dusty tubes n 1 bar of soap to rotate in and out of sink and bathroom. Tavern and food service were closed on Sunday. But...More
Immersed in history of the region, a comfortable & quiet inn just off I-81. The original stage coach room is informative & unusual. Breakfast when it is served is delicious. Hosts are very likable & a pleasure to know.

At the time of my visit in March, the restaurant was open Wed.-Sunday. The owner mentioned that he was trying to staff up in order to be open 6-7 nights. If your planned visit is for Monday or Tuesday night, you could give them a call and ask about the schedule for the restaurant. We ate at an Irish Pub style restaurant just two blocks down the street from the Inn.
