We stayed in the Chardonnay room. Absolutely beautiful! Lots of history. Great location and very quiet. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. This place is not to be missed! We are already planning a return trip. 😊

I needed to get away to a little peace and quiet. Garden and the Sea is perfect - it feels very secluded, but is close to all the local attractions! My room was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. Great amenities! The pool was refreshing after a hot day of outdoor exploring. And I really appreciated the after dinner port....

We really enjoyed our stay and would visit again. They do a fantastic job of making the dogs welcome from bowls to blankets to treats to towels. Out criticisms are minor but explain the 4 star instead of 5 which to us is perfection. First, unlike a lot of places we have stayed, it did not have an independent thermostat...

We always book a room here when visiting family on the Eastern Shore. The friendly staff, clean rooms, and the ability to bring my precious little fur kids along on the trip make it the only place I will stay!

I needed a place to stay for the night before going out to Wallops the next morning, and not wanting to stay in a crowded motel or resort, I decided to splurge and stay at the Garden and Sea Inn. The staff were very friendly, down-to-earth, and the Sandpiper room was large and comfortable. The bed and pillows were very...

We recently stayed at the Garden and the Sea for our wedding anniversary. It is a beautiful place with lots of lush gardens and several properties on site. The innkeeper and assistants were so welcoming and made you feel right at home from the minute you walked in. Our room, the Sandpiper, was in the Garden House. We highly recommend...

My wife and I visited the eastern shores for my 50th birthday celebration to relax and see the area. The vacation was a complete success in enjoying our time spent exploring the island of Chincoteague and Assateague National Park. It was made extra special by the beautiful inn, owners and staff. We stayed the weekend of April 9th and loved the...

My wife and I decided to return to a place we had such an enjoyable stay many, many years ago at The Garden and the Sea Inn. NOTE: The Garden House Rooms there are the best to stay in! The Virginia and Maryland Eastern shores are such wonderful places to explore during the off season with our dogs. It was...

We had a wonderful three night stay over New Years with our two dogs. The Inn was cozy and charming, and they welcomed us. The fire in the room, the port in the evening, the skylight over the tub. Plus the Inn is so convent for exploring the area. We cannot wait to return!
