Wonderful place and Ian is so helpful, we came as a couple 9 years ago when travelling and returned with our 8 year old twins this time so they could enjoy what we enjoyed and they loved it too, especially their new friend, Brownie the dog. The river location is so calming so if you need to de-stress from life...

From the moment we arrived the ambience of Baan Rim Nam erased all cares. The rooms are basic but comfortable, the host gracious and informative, the staff delightful and the river setting....magical. Close to the beach and a short walk to town. We rented a motorcycle which made getting around really easy. A canoe and kayaks are available to explore...

The guesthouse is quite basic but special and very relaxed. The location on the river is tropical and quite beautiful. The path to the guesthouse is wonderful. Rooms are basic but spacious. Each room has a veranda and there is a nice large veranda for common use. We liked taking the kajaks to the beach.

Spent eight nights here, ane really enjoyed the peace and quiet atmosphere. As the location is a bit away from the main road, there is nothing to disturb you. Perfect overview of the river, and you can borrow a kayak or canoe and paddle to the beach. Or you can walk for 5 minutes, and you have a long beachwhere...

The sound of the waves splashing on the beach, the rain drops on the water and the breeze the accompanies them, put me in a deep meditative state, when you are there, you don't feel the past or work about the future. You are in the present. having peaceful and mindfulness. but Not in walking distance to the beach.

Came to the island looking for a quiet bungalow on the beach, but found this to be equally rewarding. Once you park and enter the wooden pathway to the resort, the entire facility is built on stilts amongst the lush mangroves lining the riverbank. Nice to relax in the covered wood deck watching the water, and take out one of...

Location is great - on the river and a walk from the beach. You could eat locally if you liked, but if you want to travel further afield (the place is one km or more off the main road), then rent a car or do what we did -- rent a motorcycle (having a proper motorcycle licence and an international...

I really enjoyed my stay here. The simple guesthouse is set on the bank of a salt creek, with a large deck out over the water. I stayed in the most basic of their rooms, which was fine, good AC and shower, and reasonably comfortable bed. There is a serve yourself bar/fridge with a good selection of drinks at prices...

Hi Hillaire Thanks for taking the time to review your stay at our guesthouse & good to hear you enjoyed your time on the island. The village is about 15 minutes walk - some people prefer to take a scooter others to walk. ( It can be a bit hot in the daytime - but in the evening it's a...

We booked for 6 nights in December. We were looking for somewhere quiet to chill at the end of our busy tour of Thailand. Baan Rim Nam sounded ideal - "very quiet, no loud bars, no karaoke and no traffic noise". Ian emailed to let us know that he would be away when we arrived. A lady let us in...
