This is our third time now to visit and nothing changes the uniqueness of this wonderful little place .A converted fisherman set on the Klong Prao river in Koh Chang .Lovely bedrooms kept beautifully clean by Pui the made who takes great pride in her job .You won't get "posh " here but you are certain to get peace and...

I really enjoyed my stay here. The simple guesthouse is set on the bank of a salt creek, with a large deck out over the water. I stayed in the most basic of their rooms, which was fine, good AC and shower, and reasonably comfortable bed. There is a serve yourself bar/fridge with a good selection of drinks at prices...

Hi Hillaire Thanks for taking the time to review your stay at our guesthouse & good to hear you enjoyed your time on the island. The village is about 15 minutes walk - some people prefer to take a scooter others to walk. ( It can be a bit hot in the daytime - but in the evening it's a...

We booked for 6 nights in December. We were looking for somewhere quiet to chill at the end of our busy tour of Thailand. Baan Rim Nam sounded ideal - "very quiet, no loud bars, no karaoke and no traffic noise". Ian emailed to let us know that he would be away when we arrived. A lady let us in...

Hi Shirley Thanks for your review and good to hear you liked the location. Sorry I wasn't there to meet you, I was in Siem Reap for a half marathon run. You were here on a holiday weekend. Thais like to celebrate their King's birthday and so there was a bit of a party on the opposite side of the...

This place was really lovely. We stayed for a few days at the start of our holiday on Koh Chang and it was a great start to our trip. The location is so peaceful and v quiet (except for the tragic music played by the bar opposite! But it did provide lots of entertainment). There are lots of kayaks to...

We stayed three nights at Baan Rim Nam near Klong Prao Beach and the wooden guesthouse is really nice. It is lovely decorated with a nice deck build into the Water of Klong Prao where you can relax and enjoy the silence. There are some seafood restaurants on the other side of the river which you can reach easily by...

Everything was as expected when we arrived. Great setup on the river with a gorgeous deck. Ideal place to have breakfast, catch up on emails, read a book or just watch life around the river. Whenever we came back to Baan Rim Nam after exploring, it just felt like a little oasis of peace. Basic rooms but charming and very...

The hotel is clean and comfortable and incredibly.close to food and the immaculate Klang prao beach. Having kayaks at our disposal allowed us to adventure around the canals and off the beach and let us not worry about hiring individual ones. Ian went the extra mile when the ac unit in our room went down and had it fixed by...

If you're staying in Koh Chang make sure you stay here. The rooms are wonderful converted fishermen's huts right over the estuary - wake up in the morning and watch the fish in the river from your own deck. Great food is close at hand either a short paddle across the river or a 5 minute walk to beach. Ian...

Unfortunately, even before we left the UK, it was clear that this holiday was going to be one of those where if it can go wrong - it will go wrong. Bumped off planes, lost taxi drivers in Bangkok etc... etc... However Ian bent over backwards to fix as many problems as he could. Baan Rim Nam is on a...

I found this place through stumbling on Ian's Koh Chang tourist guide web page. His humour had me suspecting the fantastic views and look of his (and his wife's) place was going to deliver the goods. And it did. It's a KISS principle place, and so it makes for relaxing times. Even if you don't feel confident about paddling a...
