4 with a big big minus for this hotel/
Relatively aside from a bunch of other hotels. My bungalow was located behind the cape (villa sea view), where practically there were not any other people. At sunset, only some tourists came running. There were...More
This resort is set in one of the most beautiful gardens on the island.
If I were reviewing the accommodation on it's own, I would probably give it 2.5-3 as the showers are not very good and the bathrooms are unusually tired. Great aircon, great...More
Resort is a concrete hell, with maintenance way overdue. Due to bad construction has a toilet smell in the bathroom.
If you are ok with the smell the location is nice, right next to the beach and with most rooms having sea view.
The standard rooms are as any other place, but their villas are, although a bit pricey, absolutely terrific. Comfortable beds, nicely decorated, super nice bathroom and a patio with a terrific view of the Gulf of Thailand. Large and nice swimming pool with a pool...More

Chai Chet is a fantastic place. It is set at the end of Klong Prao beach. Two KM of great safe sand and bathing. There is a road behind and a small town with three supermarkets, pharmacies, limited street food and some restaurants. There are restaurants beach side. The resort is set in stunning grounds, great pool, excellent well-priced restaurant, mainly Asian focused breakfast but very good, just don't expect "full English". As you can see I am a fan. I have stayed at all the resorts in the area and also Lonely Beach, Whitesands etc. but it is Chai Chet that keeps pulling me back. The only downside that I can offer is that the showers aren't up to much and the bathrooms/accommodation is a little tired otherwise it is an excellent place at a right value price.
I hope this helps.
Have a good trip wherever you go.
