Amazing place for peace, tranquillity, boat trips, day trips and amazing seafood restaurant. The rooms and restaurant are built on stilts over the sea, and we stayed in one of the VIP rooms for 2 nights and it was faultless. Ours had a big front balcony right by the water, with very easy access to some of the day-trips that...

Booked a three night stay here, but had to check out the very next morning. This is not a resort or hotel, but a by product of a fishing and sea food factory. There are small cage like nets of different size of fish. Place smells also, though not too much. Too far away from everything else on the island....

I wish I had taken photos as the room we stayed in didn't look like the photos on here! When we arrived at the ferry port we asked a policeman to help us as there were no taxis to the Salakphet side of the island and when we asked the ones who were geared to go to lonely beach/white sands...

After having some annoyingly delicious fresh Shrimps with chillies and lemon and prawns with garlic and pepper at Diamond Hill Seafood at Salakphet like 2.5 kms before Salakphet resort and seafood restaurant, when we got in there, after being offered the menu by one staff and other one came to take our order, kind female but did not really budged...

We ate at the restaurant for lunch. The food was the best freshest seafood on an island that prides itself on good fresh food. This is a long know best eatery for those who visit the island and is always quite full at lunch. Few western tourists but many Thais from the mainland. The Resort is on the west side...

We are staying a short journey away by scooter and after popping in to see the menu this afternoon, we came back for an evening meal. The restaurant was empty when we arrived but a few tables filled up with larger groups of people. It was still peaceful and relaxed. The staff were very friendly and spoke enough English to...

I Made the mistake to pre-book the Hotel for my stay on koh chang. I arrived in the evening on the Island by ferry. Problem: All people headed to the eastcoast, only me to the westcoast. So i had to Pay 1000 baht for the Taxi to get to the Hotel (normally 100). My room was okay, but no linen...

I was here to do marine biology sampling in the surrounding regions. After a hard day in the field, this was a VERY nice place to rest and clean up. The rooms were very clean, the shower and bathroom spacious. The bed was a bit soft, so my back was less happy in the morning. The views are exceptional, without...

“Look for a room with an ocean view. Not all of them have that. Corner rooms are best. There are also two VIP suites, which looked stunning.”
