This place knows how it's done! You're out in the serious jungle, up about a bazillion steps (note: not wheelchair accessible), but this is the spot. Friday/Saturday night, if there's a party, you better be there. I laughed, I cried, I lost 10 pounds but then I found it. The awesome: View Vibe Neighbors The possible cons: You're in a...

Hi Ian, thanks for the honest review. It's not quite a gazillion steps but hey, 200m is quite a climb! Did you miss out on a dorm bed? Hammock naps aren't for everyone, we know... So, we want you to know that we're taking on board what you have shared, we have revised our drinks menu, prices included! (There's not...

This place was amazing! All the people were so nice, and the kitchen ninjas made us some amazing dinner for cheap! I'd totally recommend the hammocks to sleep in, but don't pick the one on the end, it gets wet when it rains! Otherwise I can't wait to go back and see my painted quote and foot I left on...

We chose to sleep in the single treehouse and we were lucky enough that it was available when we arrived. The small platform has two hammocks over a small platform (less than ten sq ft) up off the ground. The hostel provides sheets and blankets for the hammocks but it can still get a little cold. You'll get woken up...

My girlfriend and I went to the treehouse! What an experience. Such an amazing place in the world. You have to go! The eclectic artwork and music was exploding from this place like flowers out of a garden. John, the owner was very friendly and so were most of the volunteers minus 1. There was an extremely rude volunteer there...

Hi Erin, thanks for taking the time to give us feedback. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and we want you to know that the volunteer in question is no longer with us, we want out volunteers to be just as special as the Treehouse itself :-)

If you have a fair idea of what to expect, Treehouse Poste Rojo is very hard to fault, I had one of the most amazing experiences in Nicaragua here!! Awesome staff and great atmosphere with incredible jungle surroundings. Expect to be woken up by troops of howler monkeys and see a fair bit of jungle life. Sunsets are impressive to...

One of the coolest places I've ever stayed. Though the staff was a little overly chill at times, this is a great place to escape from anything and everything, and just hang out in hammocks at treehouses. Finding this place is the first adventure, then when you step out of your car, taxi, or golf cart taxi, the adventure just...

Dont look at this place as a hostel. Look at it as an experience. I wish that i could give this place the right praise that it deserves but my writing skills will never match what i want to tell you. You can catch the free shuttle from Bearded Monkey Hostel, which is easy enough. However, if youre in search...

I was lucky enough to be travelling from Granada to San Juan del Sur alongside a lovely family who mentioned that while in Granada they stayed in this 'Hostel in the trees with monkeys'.... Being fascinated by our tree-climbing ancestors, I was immediately upset that I had missed such an experience that was right under my nose. I opted to...

I stayed here with some friends for one night in march of 2015. We enjoyed the experience very much. This is a treehouse in the woods, so comparing it to a normal hostel doesn't make any sense. We stayed in the hammocks, and had some difficulty sleeping because it was quite chilly and there was music playing in the main...

Hi Ivan, thanks for your review. You really took the time to explain what you thought of your stay and we appreciate that. We are definitely not your typical hostel and we're not for every type of traveller. But as you say, if you kind of like the sound of hammock naps, monkeys and the jungle, it's not to be...

Poste Rojo was pretty cool but not for those looking for a nice getaway. It's rugged and in the mountains. Off a dirt road you arrive at the bottom and hike a decent way up with your stuff. Arriving at the very top if you're taking the hammocks, you walk accross a sweet red suspended bridget to a treehouse room...
