Staying in the "jungle" and sleeping on a hammock is a pretty cool experience! This place is cool, but some few things need to be improved. First with the positives points: - Relatively close to Granada (20 mins with the shuttle), so it's not totally out of the way and doesn't take 4 hours to get there - Also very...

Ok I can see your complaints as valid. Our family meals are generally great. Sometimes it is hard to judge how much to cook when people show up very late. The hammock deck will never be closed. We don't provide heated rooms. It is Central America. We left everything open because people enjoy nature not because it is incomplete. For...

The views from this hostel are amazing. The vibe is chill (we weren't there when they hosted a party). The free shuttle from town is nice if it fits your schedule. If not, you have to wander through rural Nicaragua (which my friend and I had to do at 4am the morning we checked out) because there are NO other...

Thanks for the good review. All you said was true and accurate. Rare for Trip Advisor.

This place is a unique experience. We rented a hammock, so can't comment on the rooms, but the sleep was some of the best I had yet. Nice and cool with the sound of a breeze flowing through the trees was a nice change from car horns and people yelling. Plenty of Howler monkeys to keep you entertained as well....

We came to this hostel under the recommendation of my boyfriends friend who came here and had an excellent time . It was a disappointment almost from the word go- it looks like the owner of this hostel had a brilliant idea but fell out of love with it half way through. The girl on reception didn't speak English very...

Thanks for the honest review. Well, we can not insure a party every night during the lowest season of all, October. Many businesses suffer during that time. This year was especially slow for all tourism in Nicaragua. We run with a very limited staff. Sorry that, in Nicaragua, they speak Spanish so that they could accommodate travelers who believe the...

Stayed at the treehouse for one night and it was amazing! Shuttle from Granada is great and means you only have to walk dive minutes uphill (be prepared for the hike haha). View is amazing and so tranquil, staff were super helpful and nice. Hammocks are comfy, shower is awesome. Got to see lots of wildlife. Drinks were cheap enough,...

The staff: I stayed at the treehouse during one of the more mellower evenings. Apparently this place can be pretty crazy but its really all about the ppl who happen to be staying there. As soon as I finished the treacherous climb up the side of the mountain I was offered a glass of water and a cold beer ....

We just got back from this place and already want to go back. What a awesome place to stay, right in the jungle! Its easy to get to if you take the free shuttle from Granada at the bearded monkey, you don't have to stay at the bearded monkey hostel to catch the free shuttle to the tree house. Brian...

Um well the taxi will drop you off in a vacant field and it is up to you to follow the red posts. Feeling like you made a potential life threatening mistake soon leads to the entrance of poste rojo and helps calm the thought that you just accidentally asked your taxi driver that you wanted to be left in...

Thanks for the review. I understand the taxi drop off can be a bit gnarly if you don't know what to do. There are maps on all the brochures and a sign on the highway with a map. It is a 200m. walk up to the treehouse and the locals will always help. Most taxis know how to drive you...

Only stayed one night but WE LOVED IT!!! The tree house itself is an amazing sight. The staff are incredibly fun especially Mo, Sam and Brian, with who we shared a game of darts, laugh, drink or two and a great chat. The atmosphere is friendly and fun, we had a great time. Just a little note so that other...

Awesome! Thank you for your review. Honestly our prices are very comparable to any hostel. We have to support the place. Believe me we are not making a "killing" off anything. A comparable meal in town is by far more than our communal meals. We discourage bringing an egg or two to eat because everyone enjoys the communal meals. It...

Poste Rojo is unique; beautiful view, the communal area/bar/deck offer a stunning view and the walking bridge to the hammock deck is great. I loved this place! Monkeys live in the trees that surround the treehouse and the volunteer staff takes you on a frog search. Please do note; this is a travelers spot with a backpackers- & hippie vibe...

Thank you for coming out. We have a lot of great new projects in process. So you don't like our coffee bush shower? We are actually putting a a couple new showers but most people enjoy it.
