Las Salinas, Nicaragua

This is by far my favorite spot in Granada and consistently offers great and personal service, clean rooms, delicious breakfasts, wifi and privacy. I prefer the private rooms with AC/fans and TV. As my work takes me to extremely rural areas this has become my base in the Granada/Masaya/Rivas area. The staff are welcoming and hospitable. I have colleagues who...

What say when the Sunday cook/ reception desk person/ person in charge cooks your breakfast, serves you , sits and talks with you as you eat and gives you a hug goodbye when she leaves later in the day, beautiful rooms, exquisite courtyards, sunshine on the pool, waking to Church Bells and wonder why you talk in whispers -because the...

The Backpacker's Inn was the best kept hostel in Nicaragua! A bit more expensive than usual ($35/night for twin room with shared bathrooms) but we needed a treat after a not so nice night in another hostel not too far away. This is as far removed from a party hostel as you can get. The setting is colonial scrumptiousness at...

I have stayed I hostels all over the world and this place is ranked in my top 3 overall. From the beds, the court yard, the pool, the staff and the atmosphere, this place kills it. I know $15 a night can seem expensive for a traveler on a budget but I cannot stress enough how amazing and relaxing this...

My husband and I stayed for the Valentine´s weekend and had a very cozy and great. We stayed in a private room with A/C, TV, near the pool, which was spectacular. We enjoyed our time in the nice terrace of the colonial courtyard, among flowers, trees, nature, on a beautiful white hammock hand-made by Nicaraguans artisans Nicaraguans. The staff is...

This is a gorgeous place: huge, woodwork, folk art, courtyards full of plants, and a pool. And the workers are all very sweet. However, the two wonderful women who take care of food and cleaning are FAR too overworked for how big the place is. Backpackers Inn: take care of your workers and hire an extra attendant for the high...

Backpackers was an experience! We stayed here for 2 weeks over the New Year and had a great time. We stayed in both the dorms and a private shared room. While the dorms were fair, we were excited to move into the private rooms with AC and our bathroom. The staff did not have English. Breakfast was served quick. We...

I had an eight night stay at this inn. As others have said, the pool area is beautiful and the location is great. What I found to be a surprise was that there is no hot water for showers or at the bathroom sink. Staff were in my room on occasion cleaning and 'presumably' using the water from my room,...

Once i entered the backpackers inn, it felt like a green Oasis full of silence and nice people. I stayed at the dorm, which was cool and fresh day and night because of the high ceiling and fan. I fell in love with the art on the walla of an and the owner drove me there. If you want a...

I had planned to stay here for several nights and ended up checking out after one. In my few months traveling around Nicaragua this was the only time I was dissatisfied with and left a hotel (I usually stay in dorms or budget private rooms, nothing fancy). It was not terrible, but I felt like for the price I could...
