Okay, I have known this place for many years. The place is nice, clean, physically safe, and you will not have a problem IF you take your own lock and don't go out after dark. For years Jorge and his pharmacist wife (with permanent pms) had one cleaning boy. So when things are missing from the locked rooms (often) who...

Prices are great for a budget traveller, as well as the location. You can walk everywhere safely, and only 2 min to the city centre. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful which is nice when your travelling, and it's nice to have a pool and hammocks as its quite a hot city.

This place is close to the market and the bus terminal that services the south. It's cheap, has a pool and is clean. It's about a 10 minute walk from the main square. This is not a party hostel - quiet hours began around 9 or 10. The owner was very nice and spoke English. Wifi doesn't work in all...

The neighborhood is quite shady. The old marketplace and its surroundings provide a lively and authentic atmosphere during the daytime, but turn into a less attractive place at night; quite some people hang around on the streets and you are likely to receive some not very friendly remarks that can make you feel unsafe. But if you are a tough...

The San Jorge is a friendly place that offers great value for money in often pricey Granada. For only $15 I had a private, simple but spacious, room with bathroom. There was a pool, and outdoor space, as well as a kitchen area. It's only a few blocks from the centre of the city. I personally felt more comfortable getting...

I had been unwell so my review may be harsher than I intend. Had an upstairs b room which was ok, nothing flash though the price was higher v than expected $20. Not much of a vibe here with other travelers. You have to walk through the market to get to Centre which want fun after a stomach bug. Taxi...

In overpriced Granada is this hotel one of the most affordable. For 25 bucks we had double room with private bathroom. It is safe family hotel situated at the end of the municipal market, which means you have to go through the market to get to the city center. Market has some charm and good cheap obtions for eating, but...

My partner and I are on our last of eight days here and couldn't be happier with Hospedaje San Jorge. Our room is airy and spacious with plenty of fans, our matress and pillows are quite comfortable (much more so than some other places we've stayed), the shower works well, and we have enjoyed using the shared kitchen and pool...

We found Hostal San Jorge by accident as we were walking through the very dirty market area and my husband said lets check it out over my objections. Once in the gate though it was amazing. So clean you can eat off the floors, the rooms are very spacious, the staff very friendly and there is a good swimming pool...

“Room #16 is a bit more expensive than the smaller rooms, but well worth it! It is the size of a studio apartment, and in addition to a double bed and private bathroom, it has a tv, table and chairs, laundry station (for clothes washing by hand), large fridge, and ample floor space for other things (we used it for in-room exercising). It is also situated above Jorge's private home but separate from all other rooms, so there are no immediate second floor neighbours. This means there are lots of windows, making it cheerful and airy. The price went down the longer we stayed.”
