This isn't a good hostel. There's a leak in the roof of dorm #2 which means your stuff (or you) get wet during rainy season. The place in general is dilapidated with no locks on some of the bathrooms, overflowing refuse bins by the toilets and a small, dank kitchen. Contrary to what is said elsewhere, there's no bar either.... More

Spend 3 nights here. Staff was pretty friendly and knew a lot about the busses around town, however I can imagine they don't look that interested. Beds were clean the first day but a fresh sheet of linen every day would make it a lot better (the temperature was always high so you can imagine what my bed was like... More

Lonely Planet's "backpackers first choice". Do they consider backpackers as dirty losers who do anything just to "joint" and hang around? This place is prison-style without any atmosphere of the town. Small room without bathroom and lack of privacy was for 15$. Just 200m from there is for example beautiful clean hostel with real local owner that tries her best... More

I stayed here as my partner was in the adjoining hospital. But apart from that this is an extremely well appointed hotel which is fully deserving of its four star rating. The room was very spacious and the bed comfortable. There was free Wi Fi and internet , TV etc available via an iMac in the room . The staff... More

I think Lonley Planet needs to update it's review of this place. It's dark and grungy and not in an adventurous sort of way. We stayed one night in a private double with a shared bathroom. I'm down with the hostel vibe but wish I would have paid $5 more a night and stayed at Oasis Hostel. You won't die... More

Stayed a couple nights in a double private. Rooms are spacious but basic, which is what you should expect for the prices. They offer all the main things and the people there are extremely friendly. Friendly family run hostel. They called me by name and I didn't even know their names!

It was an OK experience. I stayed one night only. The building with its patio looks great, very relaxing. No luxury at all, but that is totally expected for the hostel price - no surprise. For 1 night I can't complain. The only thing I didn't like were the bunk beds, they are so tall! I felt like dying in... More

We stayed in a private room which was small, but we could sleep well in it. Due to nice people we met on the way to Granada, we had a fun time. There is a kitchen if lower standard. No restaurant or bar. But you can buy beer and have free coffee. We could hand wash in a special facility... More

Don't stay here. Me and my friend slept in the beds for approx 2 hours when she woke up and found 4 bed bugs on her bed. So we both moved to the hammocks outside to sleep for the rest of the night. In the morning we were both covered in so many bites, we obviously moved hostel straight away... More

Loved this hostel, was my first and my last stay in Nicaragua. Here I met so many different kinds of loveable people and characters and if you stay at least for a couple of nights, the place grows into you when the staff becomes more personal with you, remembers your name, asking you stuff and just being sociable. Especially if... More
