My daughter and I stayed 4 nights at Hotel Patio del Malinche. It's a converted colonial home with a lovely central garden, tastefully decorated grounds and quiet rooms. There's a small pool too, perfect for cooling off after a long day exploring the many attractions...More
We found this hotel just by walking. Location is great, one street from the famous La Calzada where all the tourists and expats stay all night long. Yet, this hotel is very quiet and if you are looking for a good night sleep - this...More
We began a two week vacation in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama at this hotel. The rooms are set back from the Street separated by the hotel lobby and first courtyard. The staff is friendly and gave us great advice about where to go in...More
Stayed for 3 nights. Well located a few blocks away from the central square – it’s a 10-min walk at the most, but enough to be away from the noise.

When we stayed at the Patio del Malinche they did not serve a breakfast buffet, but instead offered choice between different options, e.g. yogurt with granola and fruits or a great (giant!) fruit platter. We really liked it! Good quality of ingredients, adequate dish sizes and an excellent coffee. I am not sure if they may adapt in accordance with number of guests (we were very few back then), but I can say that we didn't miss a breakfast buffet. :)
