We found this place cool, clean and comfortable with a pleasant outlook over the rooftops to the volcano. The reception staff were very helpful - providing us with a streetmap and pointing out places of interest on it in English. The breakfast was good - we tried both the Nicaraguan cooked breakfast and the fruit salad option - and were...

Excellent service, clean comfortable rooms, nice pool, good breakfast. All the positive reviews are correct. This 5 year old hotel is well-located for touring the Granada area. The reception staff were very good at recommending tours and restaurants, and arranged taxis for us, and they even speak some English. We would not stay anywhere else. I have no idea why...

Our experience was less than positive and we have no idea why this place is rated so highly. As a treat to ourselves we stayed here on our way back through Granada thinking that by paying nearly double the price of the B&B we stayed in on our first time through town we would have a worthy experience. We were...

We were in Granada in Nov, 2011 and had the most wonderful experience at the Hotel Patio del Malinche. Excellent customer service, friendly, helpful and very accommodating. They handled our taxi from the airport in Managua to Granada, we arrived late at night, thirsty and hot, tired and excited. They allowed us to have a swim in the pool even...

We stayed here three nights and loved it. The hotel is very beautiful and in the spirit of Nicaragua. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The owners were wonderful and obviously tried very hard to give the customers the best experience. The rooms were exceptionaly clean and comfortable. The location is perfect. I can't believe there is a better...

We just returned from a 9 day trip to Nicaragua. We stayed 3 nights at Patio del Malinche and found it fit us just perfectly. Very clean and comfortable with beautiful gardens, a great breakfast and simply lovely accommodating staff. We stayed in Granada at the Patio Del Malinche for 2 nights. We chose this hotel because of the great reviews here and we were not disappointed. The great: - Customer service has been written about here and everyone is right on. All my questions were answered promptly via email before we booked - had a lot of great info...

Just a note to say that Hotel Patio del Malinche was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and very clean - great pillows for a Nicaraguan hotel. The breakfast that is included in the stay was delicious. Super fresh fruit (and a lot of it) and good strong coffee...or eggs if you prefer. The location...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
More than a place in the world, a house is a place in one's heart. El Patio del Malinche is more than just another hotel, it's a dream come true. Our interest to live in a different culture and to get to know new horizons took us to the ancient town of Granada. The sun-dried bricks of Granada's old walls and the hospitality of its people bewitched us. By restoring an old colonial house we relived a life of peace and serenity created by its inside patios full of history. We hope our guests will be able to revive and share with us the atmosphere of other times. We will be delighted to share our house, where life pours from every corner. ... more   less
