We travelled to Nicaragua for our honeymoon. While we were up for an adventure, we were glad for the more western amenities of this hotel. We didn't investigate others in Granada, but we couldn't have been happier with this one. The room was spacious and the AC was the best we had in Nicaragua. Taxis were arranged on our behalf...

I can't say more than the previous review which was all true. This is home away from home and won't bust your budget. When you are ready to leave, Lidia will send you on your way with her expert guidance.

While traveling with a friend through Costa Rica and Nicaragua, we had an ongoing debating about whether to stay at bargain hostels/hotels or pay more for higher quality hotels. For our first several nights, we stayed at hostels or cheaper hotels. It was mostly ok, but sleeping was something of a challenge, even after a full day of running around,...

From the outside the hotel may not look like much. However, stepping inside it opens out into a beautiful garden courtyard with hammocks and a small but nice pool. The staff are very friendly and give excellent recommendations for places to eat and things to do in the area. The hotel and rooms are well-kept and clean. The rooms are...

My husband and I and another couple stayed here for one night while in Granada, Unfortunately we arrived without a reservation and there was only one night available. The rooms are spotless, the pool area was very charming and the staff was very helpfull. The highlight was the full breakfast which included bottemless refills of cafe con leche.

After reading various reviews of the hotels in Granada in Trip Advisor, I opted to stay at the Patio del Maliniche. I have to agree that this was the place to stay. My room was spotless, the breakfast was great, and everyone working at the hotel was very friendly. The hotel was only a couple of minutes from the square...

This is a hotel with a courtyard which is very typical of Granada. From the outside the hotel looks OK but once in the doors it was very nice. Clean. our room had a Queen bed and a single bed for the two of us @ $65 per night. We stayed 3 nights. Breakfest is made to order and you...

I stayed one night at Hotel Patio del Malinche with four friends in May 2011. Our two rooms (one double + one triple) were clean and comfortable. The hotel property is beautifully maintained. The courtyard pool was a treat. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was very friendly. The location in Granada was very convenient. It was a delightful experience overall.

The getaway with our baby couldn't have been better. A room poolside, so I could lounge while she was sleeping. All sorts of above and beyond service to help with baby food, my food etc. Delicious breakfasts. An amazingly clean room I had no qualms about the baby crawling about in. They even arranged airport pickups/dropoffs, private car, anything we...

If you are in Granada then this is the place to stay - trust me you will not be disappointed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast delicious. The atmosphere as close to tranquil as central America can offer. We were on a five week tour of central America and this was overall the best place we stayed in....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
More than a place in the world, a house is a place in one's heart. El Patio del Malinche is more than just another hotel, it's a dream come true. Our interest to live in a different culture and to get to know new horizons took us to the ancient town of Granada. The sun-dried bricks of Granada's old walls and the hospitality of its people bewitched us. By restoring an old colonial house we relived a life of peace and serenity created by its inside patios full of history. We hope our guests will be able to revive and share with us the atmosphere of other times. We will be delighted to share our house, where life pours from every corner. ... more   less
