I would give this place 5 stars. The pool is enormous, clean, and just a perfect place to take a swim. Lovely. Stayed here for 3 nights (due to a misunderstanding about the child policy at one of the lake resort hotels). The service is subpar to say the least. Upon checkin, we had to argue with the girl at...

Thanks to other reviews here, we decided to splurge on a junior suite. Even then, I was quite disappointed by the room and overall experience of staying at this hotel. The room was never cleaned properly, and given the dim lighting it looked quite dingy. The sheets on my bed had clear, old stains on them but apparently they were...

Hotel Granada is trading on past glories. Although as most reviewers have said the lobby, pool and grounds are lovely, the rooms are tired and expensive for what they are. We had a second floor room and at night there were very loud noises from rats in the roof space. The stairs to the second floor were often covered in...

I live in nicaragua and often take family and friends to places I have enjoyed in the past. I raved about this hotel a year ago and was even paying them compliments as we checked in when someone inquired about having an event there. The pool and the high ceilings and architecture of the space are impressive but unfortunately that...

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the end of November. We must have been in a renovated room because it was quite nice. I have read a few recent reviews that complain about the queen bed being two twins pushed together. I shared a room with a friend and we had two queen beds that were very...

If you are trying to get any sleep or rest at this hotel, go elsewhere. Our experience was horrible and we won't be staying here again. We were there Dec 4 - 6 and we maybe got a total of 3-4 hours of actual sleep. BEDS NOT AS ADVERTISED--UNCOMFORTABLE (beds and bedding material) First, the beds were advertised as 2...

This is a beautiful and historic hotel. The rooms we had were very comfortable and the grounds were just gorgeous, not many people staying here (Dec 2013) when we were here, it was pretty deserted. No one manning the Tiki Bar or any food at the pool. Breakfast was very nice in the restaurant and included in the price, service...

Loved this hotel, the location and the service. Very colonial hotel across from one of the first churches in Central America and on the North tip of Lake Nicaragua. The atmosphere almost takes you back in time. Rooms are big and spacey. My only complaint would be the beds are super hard and lumpy and there was mold in the...

We were staying with friends opposite the hotel and went over a few times for the day to use the pool. It's $7 for the day. The only thing is you have to take your own towel. I would have thought that they could provide towels for the visitors. The pool and the surroundings are beautiful, you wouldn't know you...

We booked a king size bed; but they gave us a two beds. Receptionist didn't pay attention to us because she was on the phone with someone else. Until she decided to talk to us, she didn't try hard to make us happy. Towels and blankets didn't look clean to me. AC didn't cool enough. Breakfast was ok but not...
