The hotel is well-situated in the center of Prades and provides some guest parking, an important feature when staying in the older section of any town. The staff were friendly and the room clean. I found the breakfast varied and generous. When booking, I recommend that you check the hours of the front desk. It was closed when we arrived in the early afternoon. A neighbor helpfully pointed us to the owner's lodging. Had we been in a rush to check in, we could have done so.

I give it 4 stars with the caveat that this is a 2-star class hotel, not the Ritz. For the type of hotel that it is, they do a very good job.

In a town with very few lodging options, this hotel can be labeled as convenient. It does have rooms that are more spacious than the norm in France; our apartment was actually two separate rooms, for us and the children, which was nice. But we have to disagree with other fellow reviewers about service in this place. From the very first moment, the lady manager was rude and inconsiderate. When we arrived at the front desk there was nobody there, so we waited a while. When she finally appeared, instead of excusing herself or at least greeting us, she was rebuking us: "You have to ring the bell" she said, and we were not even complaining! She seemed upset that we were all carrying backpacks. There was nobody else in the front desk area and she kept complaining that our backpacks were taking too much space!? She was never nice to the children as well. And when we asked for a place to have dinner she told us to go to the local plaza where there were some cheap options, but was extremely helpful with other couple, giving them different descriptions of various dining options in the area. We don't ask to be pampered at each hotel, but we expect staff to be courteous. And the buffet breakfast is not good at all, with bad coffee (no espresso), limited bakery items and no local products. This is not a place we will return to.

For online booking and the establishment's website: everything is ok. On the other hand, very disappointed when arriving on site given the prices applied! Very dated hotel!!! Very succinct comfort! Renovation in progress or completed? We were not warned of this. In the rooms, chairs with leatherette covering crumble a lot. Very low bed and thin mattress…… bathroom not comfortable. Dark breakfast room….Everything is from another time…except for the modern elevator!!Continue the renovation because there is still a lot of work!!! Go there only if absolutely necessary…..(like us!)
