Detailed Reviews
Strangely, the hotel does not open before 4:30 pm. This is unusual for a three-star hotel. Though, the lady in charge of the hotel promptly came when I called at 3:30, so it was not too much of an inconvenience.
They have various kind of rooms. The ones that overlook the pool at the back of the hotel and the ones that overlook the "garden" located at the front. The ones that overlook the "garden" also overlook the highway so be aware.
I stayed at a room overlooking the pool and was rather happy. No noise. The room was spacious. The bed was ok (not great but not terrible either; it was fine for one night).
Breakfast opens at 7:30 am, which can be late for some people. Be aware.

I stayed here as part of a round Europe motorcycle tour with my wife. The hotel is family run, very clean and has lovely mountain views. Due to the location the price is very reasonable and whilst starting to show it's age in some places, was still very welcoming. I also recommend the restaurant adjacent.

Stayed at the Pradotel for one night while cycling the Pyrennees with friends. Yes, it's a little older and basic but the rooms are a decent size and comfortable and everything works well. Excellent secure storage for bikes - they are obviously set up for the touring market. Nice outdoor pool in grassy area. My room had full height shutters and a balcony overlooking the pool. The older guy who runs it is welcoming and helpful despite limited English. Only had breakfast which was fine albeit a limited range of cold food.

I stayed here on the night of the 25th August 2011. I was in room 9. The hotel is nice and well appointed and breakfast was good. All together a nice place to stay.
Unfortunately my bed was infested with bed bugs.
I was bitten all over.
Not a nice experience.

If you are visiting this beatiful area of France, and you are looking for a practical and clean hotel for a couple of nights, then Pradotel is a good choice.
The building is not modern, but it is in good state of maintenance, and everything is clean and functional.
Maybe you notice the pass of time the most in the bath rooms, but again, they are also clean and functional.
The hotel is definately up to IBIS standard, if you wish a reference in terms of comfort level.
The breakfast is quite OK, but maybe I missed some eggs... The rest was good. Good bread and croissants, as well as coffee, tea, and juices.
The views to the CanigĂł mountain is stunning, and there is a nice pool in the garden. You may also have breakfast outside with a view to the pool, weather permitting.
They have free wifi, which is good. There is also ample parking space outside.
We paid €78 a night for a double room, breakfast included. Very good value, I would say.
We will for sure repeat next time we need to stay over in Prades.

Rooms are pretty basic and furniture a little outdated. Garden is nice and the pool is a good size. Did not have breakfast in the hotel, rather went to the supermarket in front, where there is a good bakery. Wi-fi worked OK in the room. Location is OK if you have a car (specially at night). Lots of parking space. Best thing is really the beautiful views of Mount Canigou.

Booked this hotel as they said they had a disabled suitable room. Sadly, that was not the case, the rooms was small and cramped and the only concession to someoe with limited mobility was a raised toilet and a grab handle.
This was not acceptable so having booked for 6 nights only spent one night there.
Finally, there was a very unusal scent throughout and it remnded me of the smell of fumigation gases.

I recently stayed here with a group, and we had a really nice time. The hotel/motel is very nice, with good airy rooms opening onto individual outdoor areas and an excellent swimming pool for general use. Our hosts were extremely friendly and interested in us having a good experience there. It is on the outer edge of Prades, so a 5-10 minute walk is required to get into the town centre which was interesting and historic. Wonderful market on Tuesdays. We had several days doing excursions on our bicycles, including one day catching the 'Little Yellow Train' up to Mont Luis and seeing some different scenery. Good lock-up facility for pushbikes. I recommend staying here.

My friends and I had a great stay here while on a cycling trip. The rooms are simple, but clean, comfortable, and quiet. There's also a nice pool. The staff was very pleasant. And the hotel has a fantastic spot for bike storage, which we loved! The hotel itself is slightly on the outskirts of the town, but just a 10-minute walk from the center.

Great value hotel with comfortable rooms, wonderful views, semi private terraces on ground floor overlooking pool. Came with grandchildren who had pool to themselves. Staff friendly and safety conscious. Non swimming children stay on first floor. Convenient for Villefranche and little yellow train (recommend going up to Mont Louis, return trip 1 euro on bus). Definitely one of our favourites.
