Stayed five nights with a group. All the basic requirements were catered for. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was fine.

Hotel owner/manager was friendly and helpful. Location was good for the town and roads.

Stopped in there about 10 days ago. Guy (owner) at the desk -

We asked for the price which seemed reasonable. Then asked to see the room.

He said NO. We were stunned. We are veryexperienced travelers and in approximately 40 trips to Europe this is the 3rd time it has happened? Simple question: How do they stay in business? Somewhat later in our trip stopped at a very very busy smaller hotel - asked the same question - guy at desk was swamped - he locked his area and happily showed us the room we would be staying. I could not get out my wallet fast enough to book the room.

Worst experience ever.
Not only the owners were so rude but also the man tried to attack my colleague just for asking how the air conditionated works.
If you were planning to go there I would recommend you to look for another hotel or even sleep in your car.

Apparently the last check-in hour is at 10PM... but we couldn't arrive on time due to a big traffic jam at the border's control between Spain and France so we arrived 1 hour later
The reception's lady looked upset about our delay (but it was not our fault actually) anyway we payed and we headed to the room... it was so hot there and we couldn't find the remote control to switch on the air con so we came back to the reception where the owner attended us in a rude manner.
We all went to the room and he switched on the air con manually but after that he started to annoy and insult us with no reason, we didn't reply him, we just avoided the confrontation when suddenly the man hit my friend's head with his palm... then we started an argument with him asking why he was acting like that... he pushed me back in a cocky manner spitting non sense statements such as we insulted his wife (what???... completely false)
We realised he was a bit tipsy and he was an angry man with no self-control so we skipped any conflict with him... he left shouting along the corridor. The day after he apologised but we were such disturbed about the incident that we decided to leave the hotel.

I booked this hotel for 5 nights because I had to work in the nearby. My experience was the worst possible: it's a decadent hotel, carpets, curtains and bed sheets are old and quite dirty and smelly. Internet is horrible, bathroom has dirty and smelly plastic curtains. They charge 5 euros / day to use air conditioning ( you need to ask for the remote control in the reception and the owner giver the control to you like a favor). After 2 days our towels hadn't been changed ( and when we arrived they were already dirty, with a smell of urine). We ( I and my wife) went to the reception and asked the owner if she could tell someone to change them, because they were already dirty when we came to the room. So... To our surprise, the owner was extremely rude and started screaming something like this 'if you want your towels changed you must go to your room right now and bring them to me... !'And if you are not happy, you can find another hotel along the street'. We were shocked. I've never seen this in my life. As there were another guests on the hall , and they witnissed the scene, perhapes she noticed it and decided to go herself to our room and change them.In fact she invaded our room as she pushed my wife away, agressilvily, and and took the towels. During the remaining three days we had the worst towels, dirty , with lots of splotches ( like blood, for example). Yes, sure, we should have check out in the first night ( or after the owner high class treatment) .... The problem is that she had charged my whole stay. This hotel is a trap: the owner has purchased it a few months ago, she doesn't know how to deal with human being and once you check in she treats you like a rubish because she can charge your credit card once you have already booked the whole stay!

We are a business who run cycling holidays. The hotel we were using became full so we needed to find a place for the guides and our last few customers to stay. This place looked ideal so we booked 1 twin rooms with them. We then made payment by bank transfer, at their request, 4 days before the trip. This was due to last minute bookings which meant we then had to book an additional twin room with them.

After a very long day cycling and getting most of the customers to the first hotel in Prades, our guides them went with their 2 customers to the Hotel Hexagone at around 20:00. Upon arrival they were told we had no booking with them. They then said that because they had not received payment they had cancelled the booking and were now full. After proving to them that payment had been sent and to the correct account they then proceeded to shout at our guides telling them that it didn't matter because they were full and we needed to leave.

They said if they had received payment they would have sent us an email (they did not explain this to us at any other time) and that they had sent us an email that they had cancelled our booking (which we never received). They were very rude and abusive in a loud volume and were unhelpful and would not admit that they had made a mistake. We luckily found rooms at the other hotel but this could have been a disaster. We told them we would never use them again to which they said Good. Rather telling.

I would urge anyone looking to stay here to not do it. This was the worst experience we have ever had.

The weather when we were there was not particularly good but that was not the fault of the hotel. It is a good place to stop if you are touring the area but not really for a longer stay than 2 nights unless you're in prades for the Casals Chamber Music Festival in summer. The town has little to offer in itself and it is useful that the hotel's restaurant anly serves hotel residents. The food was fine and we had a limited choice each night. It would have been useful if the hotel had more leaflets concerning local attractions, we did our own research to get a trip on the petit train jaune which I can heartily recommend.

Booked for a nights stay, advised the owner that we had been held up in traffic and would arrive by 22:10. Less than 10 mins after their check in time. When we arrived we were met with hostility beyond anything imaginable. The owner was rude, abusive and refused to honour the booking. He threw us out with a barrage of swearing.
How they are still in business, I don't know.
Avoid this this place like the plague!!

Receptionist was very rude, very unhelpful & the rooms are in a very poor condition. There was a group of people staying there from the UK who were treated terribly. Felt really sorry for them. Wouldn't recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

We stayed there for two nights, and we had a pleasant time. Besides, we could stay in the hotel with our dogs that are quite big, and the owner was really nice to us and to them too.

The only thing that could be improved, in my opinion, is the breakfast, which was quite poor.

In general, we had a good experience!
