Where to start…. If you are looking for a good location, between Forio port and San Francesco beach, this could definitely be the place.. however, I would not consider this hotel a 4⭐️ hotel! Also a bit expensive for its service. Despite the very good size of the room and the very comfortable bed, unfortunately the room was a bit dark, dated and noisy…everything and everyone could be heard, especially in the morning. The breakfast offer was quite poor, but I have to say that, since the first morning I mentioned that I was gluten free, they made sure that I had different options the following days. It is a place with a good potential and a very friendly and helpful staff. Not entirely recommend.

Our stay at Hotel Scogliera was more than expected. The family run business were very professional, attentive, warm and helped us sort out all of our needs for our short stay. Their recommendations for restaurants and boat rides were superb. They have their own Lido on the sandy beach, which was less than a 3 minute walk from the hotel. It was a friend's birthday whilst we were there, and they had a freshly baked cake to the exact taste of the birthday boy (that was oh so delicious from__________) delivered within a few hours to the hotel. In the heart of the Cilento coast of Southern Italy Marina Camerota is a beautiful quaint village that is worth every moment.

This warm, friendly hotel is in a perfect spot overlooking the harbor and near the beach, just a few minutes from the center of town. The rooms facing the harbor have very big balconies with a table and chairs. Beautiful view. The people who run this -- especially Stephania -- are so kind and helpful.

I was so disappointed that this year (August 2013) the Hotel la Scogliera was fully booked and so I was unable to experience the warm and friendly environment that this family run hotel offered me some 13 years ago. That time spent was truly memorable and prompted me to return, this time with my family. (I must stop the spur of the moment holidays!) Unable to stay this year we did how ever use the restaurant located on the top floor a number of times. Giving stunning views over the harbour and bay of Marina di Camerota and a gentle breeze in the evening was the perfect back drop to some Italian food of excellent quality. My 5 year old daughter was treated like royalty with artisan ice-creams of exceptional excellence, ice-cream for her (and me) will never be the same again! Next time I visit I will book in plenty of time and as English is spoken I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to experience real Italian hospitality.…
