I think if you had a tiny car you could drive through the medieval gate into the courtyard. We had a Ford Focus ( not a big car) and we could not. But we parked on the street (advised by the very helpful hotel receptionist)- actually I went to reception for advice and she got in car and directed us to a safe free parking area.
